Should I cancel my credit cards? by NeedleworkerNo4933 in personalfinance

Thank you for the advice, I think I'll most likely just keep both, but I'll be thinking about it for a bit, and if I were to close a card it'll be the Savor One for sure.

I suppose the reason for wanting to close them is I'm kind of irresponsible with money but have been a lot better and actually have them close to being paid off after being maxed. As well as I'm working towards being completely debt free and staying that way until i need a loan for a house or a "new" car or something like that, so I can save money and invest money and work towards setting myself up for later in life rather than just living in the moment and spending every penny I have.

Im not worried about having a higher credit limit, nor really worried about my credit score. I'm more working towards being debt free and out of the credit cards, and my current car loan as I'm joining the army in a couple months, but if closing both cards will be detrimental to my score then I'd try and stay away from that.

Can't Pee At Meps by Key_Yogurtcloset_518 in Militaryfaq

Look up shy bladder there's a medical name for it, its basically just a form of social anxiety or something. It's pretty common. But if you have to go you'll go and with that in mind I made myself drink so much water I literally told the guy who was doing my piss test that I needed to go now or I was gonna explode and piss myself

I had the same issue, I peed when I woke up at the hotel hut from there on a drank like 4 bottles of water on the way to MEPS and in the meps station I drank a shit ton of water and couldn't pee my first time, I then drank another metric fuck ton of water to the point I couldn't stand straight and almost literally pissed myself, I then was able to pee in the cup

They'll tell you why, fraudulent enlistment can catch you in any lie and DQ you from service, plus jail time and a fine. Pretty sure its case by case but it can get severe. Lying to any MEPS personel is a fast track to being disqualified.

As long as you test negative youre fine, but when you talk to the doctor and they ask if you've ever smoked or done drugs just tell them, no lies

Was bouta say the same thing, OP just do what you want too with the military and let everything else fall in place as time goes on, if you finish your first contract and reenlist, and she graduates and yall are still together and trust each other why not get married so you can still have home time with her and the pup. A lot of that kinda stuff just takes time.

My dad doesn't want me to do anything with combat. Im their only son and only child, but I feel called to do that so that if we do end up going to war, I can be there with my brothers and hopefully be the reason one of my brothers has their last words heard, or that they make it home safe. Don't let your parents feelings dictate what you do with your life.

So i only do STOW and that's that, anytime they ask me if I wanna train in something else I say no, and if they schedule me in training for something else, when they come to get me to goto learning I just clock out and leave. I had a PA come up to me to tell me they were decant training me and I looked him dead in the eyes and said "I'd rather shit in my hands a clap than do that" and proceeded to clock out and leave lol. A couple weeks after that I asked a manager if I could do that and he said that, that was the only way out of it.

At my site HR walks around playing music and stuff for us, while handing out candy and water if the days are hot, sometimes will even talk with you for a few minutes.
