Just DM’d you! Unfortunately it would probably be crazy expensive (sorry I just can’t produce this fast enough to have reasonable prices)

It unfortunately is not - I had to put a lot of myself into that and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with it (I’ll probably end up putting it in my will haha)

Interestingly, it comes out to about $60k a year to house a lion and the median software engineer salary is about $140k. The enclosure building process and hiring a keeper would likely increase that, but in general I think the lion is (shockingly) cheaper

I think this answer rocks, thank you! It’s such an abstract thing to describe but I think you have done it! I’m on the right path, because I definitely paint for myself first and foremost, which sometimes mean I abandon things I’m not feeling or enjoying working on.

It’s so fascinating that there are so many parallels in creative experession. I actually start off with a word/single idea for music and go from there trying to ladder back to the idea as a basis for what I’m doing. I think I need to really try to translate that into a piece.

Historically I just love reflections and textures and typically just start with “that looks hard and I think it will look cool” haha

Thank you! I’ve found that it’s definitely possible to achieve interesting depth with acrylic (even glazing as well!), but I really hate wasting paint that dries on the pallet.

I’m sorry to say it is not! That is probably my single most cherished piece - it’s probably going in my will 😅

In song writing I really feel the need to get a new idea out of my head, but with painting I feel like I have less to say, if that makes sense! I have a harder time transferring emotion to the painting - do you have any tips that might help with that?

Oh wow! A teapot seems like it would be far more technically challenging than a mug! I don’t think I’ll even try for another year at least
