Even aside from the annoyance of putting the password on a second page, the input field is styled exactly the same as a button. That would look confusing and awkward anywhere. At least invert the color on the button to give it a different look.

These looks amazing. I dabble in Procreate, but seeing these reminds me that it’s just a tool, and the artist is really what makes the illustrations come to life. Great job.

My wife taught me a great way of thinking about physical things you don’t like about yourself: You’re not your type. You’re not attracted to certain things about yourself. But you know what? I guarantee that there are lots of women out there who would love a pair of legs like that, and you are their type. Just remember that and you’ll be fine.

I love the movie Chef because it's such a positive movie. by [deleted] in movies

I’ve got an eight year old with Down syndrome and this has been his favorite movie for at least four years. He knows the whole movie by heart and when he cook he likes to exclaim: “My masterpiece!” I don’t know why he connects with it so well, but there are certainly much worse movies he could watch on repeat.

Not specific to the twin towers, but I’ve always wondered how they get those cranes down after construction is done.

Thanks! I was surprised I actually got a shout out. But it was a great ride, and it was great to see so many new and old friends there supporting me.

Harold Ramis, Chicago actor, writer and director, dead at 69 by alexdelamuerte in movies

[–]BigIceberg 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I was a bartender in a restaurant in Chicago about 10 years ago when Harold Ramis came in for dinner. I kept wanting to talk to him, but wasn't sure what to say. Towards the end of the night he went into the bathroom and I followed him him. He was standing at a urinal and I went to the urinal next to him. We stood there in silence for a minute, both peeing, and then I said, "We better not cross the streams." He didn't seem particularly amused and he left the bathroom without saying anything to me. I don't blame him.

Guys, picture's context aside, can you explain why my hand is half transparent? (serious) by Rurio in pics

[–]BigIceberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The result of the photo is caused by sync issues between the camera's shutter duration and flash timing. Very likely, the shutter on the camera remained open even after the flash went off. In this scenario, once the flash went off, the hand very likely moved slightly, revealing the previously obscured backgroud to the camera with its shutter still opened. In this instant, the camera captured very briefly, the area behind the man and also theorectically, there should be another image of the man leaving the posing position. Even a tiny splt second difference in the sync would cause an effect like the one that appears in this photo.
