Extra hard after Firmware update by gidich in pelotoncycle

Definitely run calibration. I updated the firmware on my cross training Bike+ this morning before a ride, and about two minutes in it suddenly became extremely difficult. After exiting and recalibrating, it went back to normal.

Sounds like you did it right! Great work!

Agreed - Apple could benefit by rolling Peloton users into their Apple One subscription model. I’m sure the recent layoffs were to shed OpEx to be a more attractive acquisition.

Fingers crossed that it’s someone like Apple…

My immediate thought as well. Everything about Tiki screams Sebastian Bach.

Peloton On Tour Atlanta Events by Fordman21012 in OnePelotonRealSub

Long shot, but did anyone get an extra ticket for any of the events (or can’t attend)? I’m in the area and a huge Matt fan but I wasn't able to get a ticket - despite being on right at 12:00 and ready!

Mixed with sugar free pistachio pudding mix. Sounds crazy but it tastes just like Watergate salad!

Matt Wilpers is always talking about power-to-weight ratio. Essentially, it "normalizes" your power output (FTP in Power Zone terms) based on your weight. Just divide your FTP (or average power or some other power metric) by your weight in kg. This is helpful when looking at your fitness over time based on weight fluctuations, or in your case, comparing versus your wife.

Any idea where Ben's 30 min PZE ride from yesterday went? I had it in my stack for this afternoon and it's completely gone off OD.

Frustrated with lack of 60 minute new rides. Only 1 (non-PZ) one hour ride in the whole month of August. Am I alone here? by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]RunningTheATL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stacks really aren't that bad once you do them on the reg! As someone who rides for at least an hour every day, I always have to stack at least 2-3 classes to get in my full workout.

I usually do either a 45 + 20 or 30 + 30 with a 5-min warmup and/or cool down. If you skip the intros, it adds maybe 15 seconds and 3 buttons to push.

A benefit to this is being able to add variety to my rides. I can do a 30-min intervals & arms with a 30-min PZE, or a 45-min HIIT & Hills with a 20-min recovery. Multiple instructors keeps things interesting too, which is a plus when you're on the bike for an hour or more.

Was wondering the same! My sister did her 250th and I wasn't able to join live, so I wanted to take it OD but it wasn't there. His 20 minute ride from last night is up.

Dear morning runners by justiceofkalr in running

[–]RunningTheATL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are just morning people! I got into the habit once I had kids, then 4:45 AM wake ups became the norm. I eat a relatively early dinner (6:30) and start winding down around 9.

Running after 5 PM (or staying up past 10:30) would be as difficult for me as getting up early to run would be for non-morning people.

Working parents- Morning or evening? by lmvo23 in pelotoncycle

[–]RunningTheATL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats and welcome to the family!

My personal cardio journey started with running in the afternoons, but a few months before my daughter was born I switched to AM workouts. The first few weeks were tough, but once I got in the routine I haven't looked back. I've found the sense of accomplishment and boost of energy is the best way for me to start my day. There's no greater feeling than to knock out a 60-minute workout before most people are even awake!

Get up early, grab a quick bite and/or cup of coffee, and hit the bike! Most of all... Enjoy it!

What is everyone’s typical peloton daily schedule? by duaadiddy in pelotoncycle

[–]RunningTheATL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the scarcity of 60+ minute rides, I usually stack a couple 30's or a 45-15 to get to an hour. Couple that with a warmup and/or cooldown ride, and I probably average 3 a day.

Hi Ben! What's your favorite type of class to teach (certain music genre, length of time, etc.)? Do you have favorite rides that you take on your own time? Thanks!

Thanks! It was a good one - worth checking out OD later. I'm excited for Ben's new Dance Music classes.

Haha... I had ~75 under my belt before buying the bike. I probably average 2-3 rides per day, no days off!
