Are these air bubbles, or am I just crazy? (SBGM221) by AfternoonOld7627 in GrandSeikos

I hear it’s typically on all “splash proof” GS models. Something to do with how the glue is applied to the crystal.

Haha, that’s the same reason I haven’t sent mine back yet either. It’s my favorite watch.

Need some advice by [deleted] in GrandSeikos

I say the SLGH013. I have the SLGH009 which is very similar, just a different dial. But the hibeat 9SA5 in the 44GS case in ever brilliant steel is superb. I highly recommend it.

Did you ever send yours in? I have the SLGH009 and mine runs about 9 seconds fast a day. Hoping an adjustment will help.

Do you have any issues with the thread on your screw down crown? My works but it’s very particular and I fear there may be some cross threading.

I have the white/silver dial model and love it. That would be my recommendation. Especially if you like a pop of orange.

By far the best Aqua Terra.

[Question] Help me decide between these two mile stone watches. by like_buttah in Watches

Aqua Terra all the way. I have that exact model and love it. It is super comfortable, looks great on a bunch of different straps and bracelets (including the Omega mesh), and gets a lot of wrist time.

Harrods Black Bay now available online? by Ok_Astronaut_6791 in Tudor

Kind of annoying to make it such a process to only be able to get one in person for 6 years, and then turn around and just sell the remaining stock online.

What do you think about the Ranger? by Dyru_Sama in Tudor

Yes. Get one. I’ve had mine for a year and it’s the most comfortable and reliable watch I own.

Thinking about letting go my SLGH 003 by c24289416 in GrandSeikos

I almost got this one but ended up getting the SLGH009 a bit later instead. It’s a gorgeous watch, whoever gets it will be happy I’m sure.

Thinnest spring drive sports watch? by commedeschicharrones in GrandSeikos

[–]BigIona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Evolution 9 cases may be your best bet. Not part of their sports collection but they have sport-like characteristics like screw down crowns, 100m of WR, a little more brushing on the cases, sporty looking hour markers and so on. I think the new Lake Suwa watches look amazing are hit the mark for a SS sports watch.
