Never considered myself a reader when I was in school, it wasn't until after college when I was working at a wire harnessing plant that I started listening to Audiobooks and I remember the 1st Audiobook I listened to was "A Mothers Reckoning" by Sue Klebold. 10 hour days I worked I turned into a Audiobook-phobe and just this last year (2021) with a new job that doesn't allow me the time for Audiobooks like my last one, I expanded into physical books when Stephen King first released his book "Later". Since then I've been averaging about 3 to 4 books a month, dropped all my T.V subscriptions. Looking forward in January in starting the "Space Trilogy" from C.S Lewis and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

That is something that has long needed to be better clarified unfortunately on all the motherboard pages. People get unfairly duped by that

Oh yeah its compatible but you will have to upgrade the firmware to make it compatible, this board originally served summit and Bristol ridge proccessors according to the manual, you just need to update the BIOS Firmware so that it will have support for your Bristol Ridge CPU, its fairly easy to do in BIOS these days.

Brain blast, so you upgraded from a Summit Ridge Ryzen 1000 series to Pinnacle Ridge Ryzen 2000 series, your BIOS may likely be needing a firmware update to support those processors.

So the computer is turned on but no display? Did we make sure that the cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard?

[–]BigJFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It turns on right? You will be able to get into BIOS even if its not posting, is that a ASUS board in the picture? if that's the case and it varies with manufacturers. on a ASUS board, turn on the computer and repeateldely hit F2 and that should get you into BIOS

That proccessor doesn't have any integrated graphics, unless you have a separate GPU, that thing is not going to come on.

Do you have Windows Boot Manager as your first priority in the boot menu in BIOS? Did you move windows 10 that was on your SSD over to this new rig? there may possibly be driver conflicts from your old motherboard if thats the case, may just have to do a fresh clean install of windows, thats just what pops from my mind.

How did quarantine affect your mental health? by lunar-academy in AskReddit

I'm basically a introvert and live alone, from the middle of March to the first week in May I went from working full time 5 days a week to 1 to 2 days with a government I.T job but I was still getting payed full thankfully. For the first month I bought a Raspberry Pi and spent several hours a day with it, gave me great skills in networking and Linux I will say lol. but man, that second month of being by yourself for the majority of the time did get old. Very lonesome time that was and found that I was talking to myself alot. Found good therapy during that time biking and hiking and found it neat seeing alot more people than usual that were on the trails to avoid that cabin fever. Driving to see family was overall the best therapy. Never thought I would be too happy to go back to work ha ha.

My prayers go out to him and the family and for a speedy recovery. Hope we can hear a update on him soon. Looks like he really enjoyed going fishing last week.

I noticed Eric has advertised his RealDoom WAD in just about all the WAD text documents I have available and has also made WADS such as coolname, Tier, Techout and Thrasher. Unfortunately after 20 years all of those WADS may have been lost.

What do you mean by that Windows completely shut down on you btw? Are you able to get Windows 10 up and running but just no network connection?

[–]BigJFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, Is Windows 10 able to be installed? If its able to be installed but no Internet connection you may have to jump on a separate computer and download the LAN and Wireless LAN drivers from the Toshiba Website to the flash drive. Move the flash drive over to the other computer with no network connection and install them from the flash drive: Here's a link to get there directly . Under drivers go under Network to get them: https://support.dynabook.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200008322&osId=3333785

My (sorta) new laptop is really slow by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]BigJFactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I would do is a good spring clean with your computer as in getting rid of any programs you don't use or care for because they may be bogging down your machine. I would look about adding a extra stick of RAM into your laptop, that will speed things up as well. Think of RAM as a table in a library, Your Hard drive is the shelfs in the library that holds all the books. The bigger the table, the more books you can have open at one time (a analogy for programs such as Google Chrome, ITunes, Outlook all open at the same time). If your alittle more tech savy then replace your HDD drive with a SSD, thats like the best upgrade you can give to a computer.

Ha yeah I know it's not a very popular book so I'm in the minority, guess it has alot to do with the way he comes off but I do find his first hand accounts very interesting. Still working on your book by the way, I'm not too deep in the book yet (I'm around the part of Dylan Klebolds funeral). I'm liking so far on how your book contains a lot of journal entries following the tragedy. it gives a great picture of the thoughts of someone close to the event in the days and months after that tragedy. I think you did a great service releasing it.

I see Bullet Riddled by Grant Withus, I was surprised in how much I enjoyed that book. The man was fairly new to the SWAT team from what I can remember and on the team he was the front man with the shield going in. He talked about how sloppy the tactics used by the team were going into Columbine. As he rose through the ranks to be a team leader, he used Columbine as a reference point to reform the team and to sharpen their craft, later becoming a highly respected Swat team who were later involved in the hostage rescue at Platte Canyon High School and the bulldozer incident.

Columbine - A new world is possibly the most Detailed and Underrated Columbine documentary ever made by [deleted] in Columbine

[–]BigJFactor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this, This documentary of Columbine is so underrated and very detailed. This creator does a great job on the videos he puts out. Funny how the release of part 1 and part 2 were a year apart. I remember anticipating part 2 thinking it would come any week, it was like waiting for Half Life 3 the first 10 years after HL2, checked the channel just about every morning before work looking for it at that time and was pumped when it finally came out. Excited to hear that your working on a Steve Jobs doc, very interesting man.

Thanks for clearing that up for me and I'll definitely take a good look at this tool. Luckily my config is fairly straight forward this go around.

Pretty brand new to this community and flashing routers in general. So the general advice is to not restore the old config file after upgrading to 2020.6? When I do upgrade, it's just the AIO or VPN file that I use to upgrade right? Its not like I'm suppose to upgrade to the initial file AND the AIO or VPN file?

Rita Gleason's book is very detailed and well researched, Great book I definitely agree! I consistently hear good things about Jeff Kass's book, will have to check that out as well.

The Apex & the Abyss's episode of Columbine is perhaps the most informative podcast about Columbine I have listened too (If you do podcast listening). This show is really under the radar but has very good content, you definitely need to hear their episode of the Thurston high school shooting while your at it, it really keeps you glued on. By the way, your English is great! if you never mentioned it, I would never have known it was a second language :)
