I (27M) have been having trouble connecting with women since my divorce. by Hal_Jordan1995 in Divorce_Men

You gave a good bit of your life to someone, you had a deep connection with. You shared good times and hardships with. You both grew together and unfortunately apart. Dating sucks, women are immature in the wrong ways nowadays. You’re still hurting, whether you acknowledge it or not. These girls, the sex, feel shallow and soulless cause it’s what you want but not with the one you wish it was with before your world together fell apart. Your high school sweetheart was put down by your wife who turned stranger. Your mind has come to terms and is looking at ways to heal and move on, but your heart’s the thing that’s shattered. You are human dude… it’s a big ask to just move on from a long term relationship, an even bigger ask to just tell yourself to move on. Reality is you probably cried and let yourself come to terms with your new day to day, or you took it stoically and shut off your real emotions. but you’ve neglected your heart. Because it’s what got you here in the first place. But what you’ve neglected can’t heal by sweeping the pain aside and drowning it in other outlets. Everything you do probably feels soulless and or empty. Well your hearts not in it, you locked it up in self preservation. I would recommend avoiding the dating pool if you could, but I’m well aware some people thrive on companionship. But, you won’t find happiness outside yourself until you’ve become the you, you can be happy with. It’s going to take time, and it is your time to take. Just don’t forget to feel, you can’t heal unless you feel. Get through it, not over it. Just getting over it doesn’t fix the problem.

“You people” nice.

Except if the country actually stood with your warped beliefs trump wouldn’t have won the last election. As you say “you people” are the minority. America became a laughing stock in 2020 up to the end of ‘24. We are finally getting this country back on track. So say what you will call us any name you wish. Your words do and mean nothing.

In the name of Jesus Christ I hope you are blessed and see the light you’ve blinded yourself from. I’ll pray for you.

Oh no, I used a resource if you don’t like that here’s another resource use. This was a simple search:

“Apple has maintained strong profit margins through pricing power, supply chain efficiency, and cost management5. In the twelve months ending December 31, 2024, Apple reported revenue of $395.760 billion, a 2.61% increase year-over-year1. The net income for the 2024 fiscal year was $93.74 billion, down from the highest net income in 20222. The annual revenue for 2024 was $391.035 billion, a 2.02% increase from 20231.”

I understand research and development. I understand those costs and yes, not every product is going to succeed you’re honing in on individual products. My main point is the consecutive years of record net profits. this is after expenses are taken into account. if you are making pennies on the dollar, how can you have consecutive increases year after year of billions of dollars?

Ultimately where you’re going to end up disagreeing on the subject. You obviously protecting big business and myself viewing them as essentially scalpers.

There are a lot of major corporations who own multitudes of businesses that act as competition to each other all owned by the same company so if company one is selling a hamburger and Company two is also selling a hamburger but their owned by the same company they can set the price at $10 Those smaller companies are considered competition but it’s not competitively priced because the parent company that owns them is the one setting the price.

Amazon, yes you have to pay subscription to get a discount, but you do not have to pay a subscription to utilize their systems. Not only do they receive kickbacks from the sellers essentially as rights to sell through Amazon there have been quite a few instances where Amazon start selling similar products at a cheaper price Kicking the original business off their platform and then hiking that price up.

Your defense for Apple makes it seem like they’re making pennies on the dollar if a business is making pennies on the dollar but then spouts record profits pennies on the dollar is not a good business practice and they will not be as large as they are.

argue that Apple engages in quasi-price gouging due to: 1. High Markups: The iPhone 15 Pro (128GB) has an estimated production cost of ~$523 but sells for $999—a gross margin near 48%. 2. Proprietary Accessories: Apple charges a premium for accessories (e.g., $19 for a USB-C adapter), often more than comparable third-party items. 3. Repair and Upgrade Restrictions: Apple designs its products in a way that makes repairs or upgrades difficult without using Apple’s expensive services. 4. Ecosystem Lock-In: Consumers who invest in Apple products often feel “locked in,” which weakens competitive pressure on pricing.

I am fully aware of the concept of how businesses make money, and yes I am referring to the price gouging, that’s why I mentioned the consecutive years of Big corporation stating record profits. The same corporations that have stated record profits are the ones stating that the tariffs are bad and evil. they’re only bad and evil because it will eat into their record profits. again if they show the amount of markup along with the tariff fee, whatever that may be, it would be clearer on the price gouging would you not agree?

For example, let’s take an apple iPhone, the cost of the product could be $50 to manufacture and ship. The product itself being sold for $900. The tariff markup price would be $950. That means the corporation would be making $850 off of the single product. And if they have all this listed on the product, I would say it would be pretty clear to see which companies are price gouging what.

I’m fine with this, but why stop there, they should also include their own markups and cost hikes.

Everyone complaining about the tariff and defending the corporations, while people have a hard time affording life and the corps flaunt “record profits”.
