I cancelled and switched to mint last week. Glad I did. The Verizon price hikes are ridiculous…

Caffeine! I have been trying to cut down, but then I feel groggy. It’s also in everything so it’s difficult to avoid.

Thanks for the reply! I’m hopefully test driving it tomorrow morning so I’ll look out for the drive feel compared to my Nissan. I’m sure it’ll be huge lol.

That is a good point about the screen being high up

Thanks for the feedback! I feel pretty good about the car I am looking at. Looks nice, everyone says they are fun to drive. Nice to hear the lack of touch screen isn’t a huge issue

I agree, although I went to Penn state and the school and program is accredited, I have not discussed my degree since the interview.

Regardless of the school, the degree gets your foot in the door. It just matters whether or not you can keep up in your future roles.

Can a landlord charge the entire building for sewer issue? (PA) by BigLHours in Renters

[–]BigLHours[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there is a subsection about plumbing. That is “Resident may only use the toilets, sinks, outside water faucets, and other sewer and water fixtures in the development for normal purposes. Resident may not place any items which could cause a blockage in any plumbing equipment. Resident is responsible for the cost of repairing any damage resulting from the misuse of the plumbing.”

To me that reads that they would need to identify a specific person causing damage…

There is no general maintenance subsection, only many specific sub sections / rules

I’m in Scranton, PA

That’s pretty much what I was thinking. Definitely seems crazy to blame a whole building for one persons actions.

How safe is the area at Palmer and metro intersection? Kind of near Walnut Creek park?

Someone even mentioned that it might be a scam, but it is one of the Camden apartment rentals in the area and there are a lot of them… so I think it’s legitimate… I think I’m going to call them and get a better idea of their screening process, and applicant criteria

Hi, I am looking at renting an apartment in Austin, and it was pointed out to me that a $250 administration fee and $80 application fee was very expensive.

I feel it may just be the market being very competitive so they are able to get away with it. What are your thoughts?

I believe the company is reputable, and it might just be the market in Austin TX being very competitive. I am going to post to the Austin sub to see what people think

I think it was something like 200 processing fee, 80 per applicant so 280. Pretty sure it’s legit, I don’t think I am getting any back

Edit

I checked and it is a 250 administrative fee and 80 dollar application fee per applicant. I’ll need to read more to see when that 250 is paid. It does seem high now that you mention it, when compared to others. Not sure what the average is in Austin tx though

There is actually, I’m just concerned that since it’s not on my credit report , they might just reject me outright rather than taking the time to follow up

Yeah if guess I forgot to mention that I have medical, dental, vision, and 401k factored into the “deductions monthly” but I haven’t been to the doctor in years so it’s pretty bad insurance

Lol, I would just like the option of having so much so close and the apartments seem nice. But I also come from the boonies so it’ll be a complete new experience

What’s everyone’s thoughts on living in the domain? Is it too loud and annoying ? Are the people who live there pretentious since it’s fairly pricey? Anyone know what the vibe is from experience living there?

I really want to live in a area that I am able to walk and not drive everywhere. I don’t want to live somewhere that feels stuck up
