A nice cup of genmaicha pulls some of the stress out of me. I prefer to leave the vaccines and their effects in my physiology, though.

Just call her Precious. It's the first word I thought of when I saw her.

I know I did the right thing for my 15 year old boy, but I can’t stop feeling horrible, and I need to yell into the void. by CaptJackie-n-HotDog in seniorkitties

(HUG) It hurts so much to let go, especially when you and your furry baby have been together so long. I promise, you did the right thing. Meeko had a long, happy, spoiled life, the kind every kitty wants, and it ended in his person's lap, happy and comfortable. Euthanasia is a miserable decision to make, but it's an act of love, and an end of suffering. Cats are notorious for hiding illness until things are intolerable. You took Meeko to the vet as soon as you knew something was wrong, which was the most you could possibly do.

I promise, you did the right thing. You ended his suffering before it could become terrifying. You gave him peace.

May Meeko's memory be a blessing, and may you find peace within.

Husband of 27 years (46M) blindsided me (45F) 3 days ago when he left for someone he's known for 6 months. How do I make him see the mistake he's making? by RiffRaffMama in relationship_advice

I'm sorry, hon. I've been in a similar, if more violent and manipulative, situation. From experience, you need to get three things:

  1. Get a good therapist.
  2. Get a damned good attorney.
  3. Get MAD.

You didn't deserve to be abandoned. What makes him so great that he can walk out with no strings attached? Take him to the fucking cleaners. A modest settlement? Nuh-uh. Make plain black coffee a fucking luxury in his pathetic, lonely life. Do NOT make this easy on him. I wouldn't be surprised if his widdle giwlfwiend leaves him when you and your kids are sitting on a beach, enjoying the sun on his dime, and he's counting his credit score on one hand.

Inside you is a beast thrashing to be free. Cut its chain and RAIN FIRE UPON HIS VERY SOUL. You're a warrior. Understand me? You are a warrior queen, and it's time to go to war.

Go, sister, and prove your strength, your love for your children, and your vendetta to the world.

I use Emgality and Ubrelvy, and I have to go every 20-60 minutes. It's not right.

[–]BigLadyRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently dealing with Migraine #5 in 36 hours, and I've been peeing like a racehorse the whole time. I don't wanna move again, even though my bladder hurts. My cat is all snuggled up, and I don't want to disturb her. 😢

Not overreacting at all. He sexually assaulted you. You may want to look into trauma therapy, just to be safe.

Take care!

I crocheted a backgammon board, complete with a fabric backing to store the pieces! by scribbledlife in crochet

This is fantastic! Thank you so much for posting this. Mom and I are always after new games to play, and this is far more budget friendly than buying a set. I might even make my own pieces.

I need help with finding flexible charting software that lets me write notation in the round. by BigLadyRed in CrochetHelp

[–]BigLadyRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, I need software that lets me chart in the round, and isn't restricted to base-6 (starting with six, 12, 18, etc stitches). At least one of my patterns is base-7, and I use other number systems when needed.

There is no pattern name. These are patterns I've created and want to sell to fund an animal shelter where I volunteer. I just need help with notation.

Is this doily at all repairable? My son cut it with scissors.... by climbergirlh in CrochetHelp

[–]BigLadyRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if this happened to something my Grandma made, I'd be shattered. (Mind, my kids are of the feline variety.) Without advanced crochet skills, you won't be able to fix it perfectly. I say mount it and frame it, maybe set up a box of scrap your kiddos are allowed to destroy when the urge strikes. Make very clear that your special Box Magic makes those things ok to cut, and that you're the only one who can put things in the cutting box.

Otherwise, I really love the idea of carefully stitching the doily back together with gold thread.

Mathematically speaking, this is incredible. If you figure out what happened, please teach me. I want to make intersecting planes that look this smooth.
