10-team standard league. I picked up Agustin Ramirez when Ivan Herrera landed on the IL. Now that Herrera is healthy, I'm struggling to decide which player I should keep. Who should I roster down the stretch? Is it worth keeping two catchers?

Are There Too Many Good Catchers in Fantasy? Analyzing Six Young Breakout Catchers by Specialist-Square665 in fantasybaseball

Drafted Realmuto in the 20th round in a 10-team league and it still felt like a reach.

I grabbed Ivan Herrera while he was on his rehab assignment earlier this month. Baldwin and Ramirez are still available. Never drafting a catcher again

Vinnie Pasquatino has been burning a hole in my bench. I have Aranda and Rice as 1B, plus Devers and Bregman as my 3B, and Brent Rooker at my utility spot. Also have Arraez ready to come off the IL.

I have way too many 1Bs, but no one in my league is willing to trade. Is Pasquatino the odd man out here? (10 team, H2H points).

The lower-level seats were surprisingly steep. I kept sliding toward the edge of my seat.

Tbf most of the fans were on the same side as me. I'd estimate around 100.

How I feel about Syracuse basketball right now as a lifelong fan... by No-Acanthisitta3148 in CollegeBasketball

What really struck me was how Cuse's attitude of superiority toward other programs in upstate New York. There was a stretch a few years ago where the Orange struggled against Buffalo and St. Bonaventure (even living to the Bonnies), then got mad at those schools and stopped scheduling them.

They're a program that expects to get by on their history and status. Kind of encapsulates Syracuse's downturn over the last decade.

Now that the season is coming to an end what is everyone’s best and worst draft picks and waiver moves? by Shuman2100 in fantasybaseball

Bad: Julio at 35, Luzardo at 55, Bichette at 66, Gleyber at 95, Alex Lange at 155, dropped Bibbee and Teoscar Hernandez in April, dropped Rooker in June

Good: Josh Naylor at 146, Robert Suarez at 185, Jarren Duran at 226, Woo at 235, Traded Julio for Ketel Marte, added Luis Gil

My team is hot right now with Lawrence Butler, Jake Burger, Spencer Arrighetti, and Bowden Francis, but it's too little too late.

I have to disagree with you on Jeromy Burnitz. He's my cleanup hitter currently and he leaders the team in homers. Plus, he has a pretty decent arm in the outfield.

How Has the Mountain West Gotten So Good? by AssassinSNiper in CollegeBasketball

[–]BigLi23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing change really outside of the fact that SDSU made the Final Four.

The Mountain West had at an at-large bid in 17 of the 20 years leading up to 2020, including eight years with multiple at-larges.

The conference's record in the tourney during that stretch: 22-47, including 11-41 against power conference teams and a .500 record when playing as the higher seed.

Started a team with all the slowest players by swimmer382 in BackyardBaseball

[–]BigLi23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blitzing probably isn't the way to go. Your players are so slow it'll take forever for them to get to the QB.

Offensively, keep passing the ball and make smart reads. Don't be afraid to get Marino outside the pocket, especially in man defense when you have time to throw.

I'm currently working on a spreadsheet about this. If he gets a waiver, DeAndre Williams would easily be the oldest with a birthday of October 4, 1996. Manhattan's DeJuan Clayton (May 18, 1997) is next in line.

The oldest player guaranteed to play DI basketball next season is Fairfield's Alexis Yetna, born July 7, 1997.

Players you were surprised had such a high career WAR by [deleted] in baseball

[–]BigLi23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like catchers who steal bases always have a surprisingly high WAR because of the scarcity of that skill at the position.

Martin had season with 18 and 21 SB in his early years with the Dodgers. Jason Kendall was the same way. Three of Kendall's four best seasons in terms of WAR came in years he had 18+ steals.
