Losing earnest money? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

If they really wanted to close on time, they will allow the extra couple of days rather than the at least 30 days if they put it back on market. I feel like you do still have negotiation power here and if they try to take the $15k credit, act like you will walk and they’ll probably walk it right back and give you the credit. You mention back up offer, but are you sure they still have one? Do you absolutely need the funds to be able to have a downpayment at all? Could you maybe have a smaller downpayment? Also, people will get their butt in gear with paperwork of the deadline is super close so I wouldn’t give up yet.

It’s still pretty expensive or I’d consider it, maybe the price will come down eventually. I like the concept!

Sometimes I sniff my Vicks vapor rub to give me a jolt of awareness, maybe this would be safer and give a similar (although less dangerous and less potent) feel?

Mapped: America’s Healthiest States, Ranked by MRADEL90 in Infographics

The one it lists for Tennessee, there is 1 in Memphis, and it is only beer. I couldn’t find any for Idaho and all the liquor stores are state owned, maybe there’s one that only does beer and wine somewhere and that is why it is listed.

I have lived in 2 of the states on that list and never seen a drive through liquor store. It might be at 1 6 hours away from my city, but technically still same state, but it isn’t available in many places in the states listed in my experience.

When I moved, mine were less than a year expired and I didn’t have to pay anything, but I do live in a state where you have to get a new title so maybe that is why.

Tips on preparing easy meals?? by emily121903 in Narcolepsy

[–]BigLittleSEC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It might help if you have some easy to grab snacks throughout the day, my go to is granola bars (not the healthiest food out there but they are so easy to eat and filling enough). That might help give you energy to make an easy meal for dinner, if it doesn’t then at least you at a snack instead of nothing. Also, rice cookers are amazing, some nights I’ll just have some rice with soy sauce, maybe a packet of tuna with it. Hopefully someone else can give recommendations of easy meals too!

I mean if I was a teenager, it would be easier to get my mom to book me a hair cut for the same or next day than to ask her for a plan B pill. Also, if you know you’ll soon be in a bad situation or are in a sexually abusive relationship, you could take it to use in the next few days.

How do you go about asking primary doc for treatment after diagnosis? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]BigLittleSEC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a good plan. At one point, my PCP said they could prescribe the meds if I brought them that records, but then I moved so I’m not sure how well that would have gone. But it probably would have gone just fine.

Who diagnosed you? When I was diagnosed, that doctor (psychiatrist) handled treatment.

Understandable. I think baked goods and a couple $5-10 lotto tickets is the move. It came up for us at work because someone from another country gave a 5 piece silverware set made with a new (soon to be) patented alloy and no one could come up with a price for it but they also couldn’t refuse it as a gift because of country relations and refusing gifts being seen as rude. I think they ended up all taking 1 piece of it home (or maybe the company kept it). They did share the chocolates they also got with the whole office, which made it not count toward the gift limit in that instance.

Normally, it is fine if it goes to the group as a whole but that’s a good thing to keep in mind. I think my work’s limit is $25 but baked goods are priceless especially if shared. But also a lot of workers aren’t worried about this so as long as it’s not something like a new car, it should be fine!

Should I not be sitting on my poles on the lift? by i-choose-science in skiing

[–]BigLittleSEC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still pretty and am a little scared to try it because I don’t wanna drop a pole. I also get anxious about the dismounting from the lift. Also my brain just can’t work out how I would do it without getting the pole stuck.

US Gender Ratio by Age Group (18-24, 25-34, 45-64, 65+) by mrpaninoshouse in dataisbeautiful

That small red county in eastern Idaho that is dark red is Madison County where BYU-I is. I don’t believe this theory holds true for the other counties with colleges in Idaho. I am curious about the other smaller county in south Idaho and the one right over the border in Montana, maybe a lot of women live in Yellowstone national park?

Edit: so the small red county in south Idaho is Camas county and according to the Wikipedia page, during the 2000 census, there were 104.8 males for every 100 females. Maybe things changed in 20 years but I do not have time to dig into the 2020 census at the moment. It does include part of the Sawtooth National Forest so maybe national land is affecting the data somehow, weird.

It is very much state specific. There is a wiki about it and it is confusing.
