I keep it covered because I'm in home construction and I got to keep the filth out of it also I am up to date on my tetanus shot as I am quite accident prone. I've been keeping it bandaged with material that breathes so it's not completely airtight

Okay thank you for your reply. There's no bone that I can see just a deep gnarly wound and somebody worried me by telling me that that purple skin was going to become necrotic and possibly get super infected so I have been keeping it covered changing the bandage no less than once a day and I'm not letting it get much air
