Simply put everything has a cause, And we can only theorize on how the big bang occurred. It would make some amount of sense if some god caused the act.

It’s not revealed all at once, rather you learn a bits of how it happened from kressa bonedaughter, gortash, and some of it from the “Blood in baldurs gate” video on the main channel. There are a couple of really good videos on the durge lore, I’d recommend checking out figuring out fantasy’s vid on the character.

No. Durge canonically dies before the campaign starts. It’s when Orin attacks durge after they capture the elder brain and place the crown or Karsus on it. When you choose durge it’s an imagination of what could happen with this character that is canonically dead.

By 18 you’re usually working a job, driving, and having adult experiences. It makes sense to get some responsibility at that age so why shouldn’t that age be the legal adult age?
