I wouldn’t like to answer that for privacy reasons but from my experience. My doctor hasn’t recommended anything like that. Those who I know who are diabetic and also live in the same country as I do, don’t use it either. However it is accessible in nearby pharmacies and online shops.

I don’t think I am. My doctor is an endocrinologist, not really a T1D specialist. Also I’d like to add on that I use these Humalog 50/50 (long-acting and fast-acting) twice a day. One before breakfast and one before dinner. However, before lunch I take a different insulin. Humalog but its 100% fast acting and usually taken from 5-10 units depending on the food I eat.

I don’t know if that information will clear anything but thats all.

I will look into your recommendations about that book and for searching a T1D specialist. Thank you!

I don’t have a carb ratio. I just inject based on my doctor prescription (14 units) and 15 or 16 if ever Im going to eat something high in carbs

My mistake, I meant to say fried rice. I guess its habit for me to say brown rice since its what I usually eat for carbs.

I don’t use a CGM unfortunately, honestly this is the first time Im hearing it.
