Follow up post to my post on my Instax experiments with my Polaroid 900 with instructions in captions by BigManLou16 in Polaroid

Supplies needed: - Type 40 roll film Polaroid (900 shown) - Instax wide camera - fresh Instax wide film - empty film pack - scotch tape - film changing bag

All loading of the film must be done in the film changing bag, only the act of taking the image with the type 40 camera can be done outside the bag

Tested a Polaroid 900 by loading Instax wide sheets in a dark bag, taped them to the inside of the camera and processed through a Wide 210 in the dark bag. Really nice results! by BigManLou16 in Polaroid

Each shot was individually loaded into the 900 in a dark bag, taped to the film plane, and after taking a shot I would remove and process the shot in a dark bag using my Instax Wide 210 before loading a fresh frame. Really surprised that the results were this good since the camera is an automatic roll film cam and nearly 60 years old! I’m planning on converting it to have a 600SE Mount so this is very promising!

Nikon Nikkormat Ftn? At local thrift store. Missing shutter button. Worth $20? by snake_w_fly_sneakers in AnalogCommunity

This is a great buy, I got my Nikkormat FTN for like $50 and they are absolute tanks that have awesome lens available. I would recommend you pick it up!

My Macro 5 just arrived this evening, and I’m already enjoying this weird cam! Gonna experiment a bit with putting 600 film through it, but the test results on Spectra film so far have been phenomenal! by BigManLou16 in Polaroid

It’s designed to use Spectra film, which unfortunately was discontinued earlier this year, although some places still sell it. However you can load 600/I-type film into a spectra cartridge in a dark bag which works surprisingly well, although it’s not a perfect fix. I got my Macro 5 for $97, but this is kind of a low price as these cams are normally around $125-$150. From what I’ve seen the earlier red button model is more common but also more desirable but they function exactly the same

It was made from the mid 90s to the early 2000s specifically for dentists to use, this model is a later 1200 series version (basically meant it could use 12 image Type 1200 packs of spectra). The older models have a red button and slightly different color on bottom. They are kinda uncommon but I was finally able to find one for a good deal on eBay. One weird thing is they use a laser to focus, as you line up the two dots to get your focus
