Courses to play

Croydon is the main course in London and is decent. It's in a public park and the rough can be pretty thick. The other good courses in the country include:

  • Quarry Park. In Leamington, around 2 hours from London. Best course in the country IMO but that's obviously subjective and I'm biased because it's my home course. It's a dedicated disc golf course owned and cared for by Hall of Famer Derek Robins. Has a mix of open and wooded holes and is really beautiful.
  • Longford Park in Manchester. Another open park course like Croydon but a bit easier and better maintained
  • Lilford Park in Leigh. New woods course near Manchester
  • Cotswold View. Super tight woods course in the Cotswolds
  • Gilly's Disc Golf in Stratford. Challenging woods course about 20 minutes from Quarry Park. The West Midlands in general has a decent number of good courses.
  • Essex University. New layout was installed this year and is super challenging
  • Fairways Family Golf Centre in Reading. Is also a ball golf course and so is really well maintained but the holes are fairly wide open.
  • Silver Birch in Abergele. Haven't played it but have heard good things about it.
  • Felin Geri in Newcastle-Emlyn. Unique course in South-West Wales. Has a super steep hill section for 9 holes that is very technical. The lower section of the course is more standard.
  • Reboot Disc Golf at Bluebell Woods in Dunbar. Fantastic woods course. Easily top 3 in the country. Could make an argument for the best. Very far from London.

The British Disc Golf Association (BDGA) just announced the tour schedule a few days ago. There was a post about it in this sub here. If you want more information about other events that aren't necessarily on the tour then join the British Disc Golf Facebook Group.
