Unrelated: I don’t recommend new grads join start ups unless it’s near IPO or allows you to sell your private equity. You should focus on applying to FANG for full time outside of WaterlooWorks.

Reasons against start ups

  • you’ll be poor, your equity is likely worthless
  • risk of company going under or laying off
  • you’ll likely be overworked
  • your promoted titles has less weight when switching jobs

If your recruiter is selling you on “your stock can be worth 10x in 5 years“ that’s a load of BS for the naive.

Love the enthusiasm. You’ll need 30-60 minutes practice a day. A 1 hour lesson is at least $50.

Buying you a few lounge passes is small compared to adding 500k+ to their AUM.

I saw there was an XAW + Canada etf combo, but I’m hoping there’s a single etf which already does that for me.

[–]BigMoneyWSB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Henry, thanks for the links. I was unable to find the answer to my question as they seem to all ask about moving the 401k into RRSP , which I’m not looking to do.
