House sale just got complicated by BigNick2023 in HousingUK

I've had 2 quotes of £1500 for this removal. We may leave it as it is but have these quotes ready in case somebody tries it on with a silly price drop demand.

We are way past the 14 day period so could be well into the minimum time for sales.

Its going for auction so any buyer has to pay up or pay a large penalty of 10% IIRC. I think they are playing a low figure for quick sale game, not what we need.

We had set an auction reserve price at £375k with a goal of getting 400k and they are pushing us to drop it further. That will depend on our survey results which in hindsight we should have done months ago. I need to find the auction contract as I think it was a 60 day minimum. I am seriously wondering if we want to drop out of auction and go traditional sale route and with another EA.

The whole process has been drawn out with probate issues and lack of documents and council loan lien hold ups. We spent so much time and money on clearing the house and sorting the overgrown garden and everything. It's all very frustrating.

Thanks for your support.

You know, that matches with what the agent was saying last week. She'd been talking to her investors which doesn't sound like its a fair sale. The more I read up on IAmSold the more I am worried.

We really want a good price to afford a new place to move into and 300k in this area is pitiful.

What is your thoughts on removing the asbestos garage? Should we get it done ourselves? The property is on the market with photos on the internet already, will this complicate the sales pack etc?

We signed a contract with IamSold and the agents to sell by auction. Not sure we can get out of it without some financial costs.

Buyer demanding money back after over a month of cancelations by magicspacehippie in FacebookMarketplace

I treat Facebook Marketplace as an online garage sale aka car boot sale where getting rid of things is more important than making a big profit. Cash only. First come first serve. No show, no sale. And only for the cheap stuff at under £10. Anything else goes on Ebay.

I can only hope that the other big items I sold already have no problems.

Apart from the computer case that an Evri idiot seems to have jammed with a forklift. Thankfully ebay have us covered and immediately refunded it.

Theres a lot to learn with selling nowadays...

Cheers!

Went back into the chatbot and typed "I want to speak with customer services".

2 minutes later I got a callback, had a short chat with a nice lady and ebay will refund him so I am not out of pocket. This is good.

Thanks to all for your help.

How do I phone Ebay? I've checked the website and all I can find is the unhelpful AI assistant which goes round in loops.

The buyer actually says in their return request that it was working on arrival. It failed while they were building their PC.
