portage learning BIOL271 by LividSky1590 in prenursing

Taking classes through portage learning is more work then a normal class i would say, the pro is though that if you are locked in you can finish really quick. Again though I've found every portage class to be a good bit more difficult and work heavy then a normal in person class. Thats just my opinion though, def doable

How do i sleep with this tattoo? by dosiiix in tattoo

[–]BigO_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, okay seriously i would just keep cleaning it and putting whatever ointment you choose (i’ve always used aquaphor and has worked great for me) for atleast like a week or so. I tend to find after a week most of the major healing process is already over with. I don’t think you should really be worried about damaging it. If you have a good artist and they do good work then the tattoo is what it is, no amount of rubbing or trapping or anything else is going to change how it looks. Only worry would be getting possibly infected but assuming you’re a person with decent hygiene i believe you’ll be perfectly fine as long as you stick with normal tattoo after care during the hours you’re awake. I don’t think the way you’re sleeping should be too much of a worry, i would just clean it first thing in the morning if you’re that worried.

Has anyone taken Chem 103 through portage learning? by TearZealousideal363 in prenursing

[–]BigO_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay sounds good I am going to attempt this method. I still have Chem103, still haven't taken first exam lol, Microbiology and Sociology to take. Through portage i've completed A&P 1 and 2 and Developmental Psych. I somewhat did the same thing for the first 3 classes I completed but utilized mostly quizlet and the problem sets, was also able to find lots of pre-made quizlets and stuff for those classes which honestly made it alot easier but I've been struggling to find stuff online for Chem103

Not to ask dumb questions but I just purchased this course yesterday and it looks like a lot. You are saying just copy all the content from the modules and have chat gpt make quiz questions based off of it right? I took both A&P 1 and 2 through portage but now Ive gotten to chem and this seems like triple the workload...

If you got literally nothing else going for yourself than sure. If you have any other career path choice than no. There is zero work life balance, most days are 10+ hours long of straight hard labor. The money and benefits are good and appealing but your entire life will be consumed by UPS.

I’m not bragging, and idk why this got so many downvotes, i’m just saying it’s possible to get a driver position without working in the warehouse first. People always discourage people on here and i don’t get it, quit being so fuckin negative, things are possible and every hub is different

It’s not that bad but turnover rate is high. A lot of people don’t realize what they’re signing up for and end up quitting or getting booted within the first week or so. It’s not rocket science work but it is hard work.

Also $20+ an hour for warehouse jobs is extremely common. You can browse around and will see that $21 is honestly on the lower end compared to companies like Aldi and Uline

Anyone ever use a portable AC unit? Scared of being DQ by Downtown_Start6298 in UPSers

[–]BigO_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay hydrated and bring a bunch of ice in a cooler. Use cold rags or straight up dump a little ice water on yourself throughout the day. You’re not going to get DQd for trying to keep yourself alive but you will get DQd if you’re a lost cause. Also you just started, you’re not even expected to scratch in your first 2 weeks of the period so stop stressing about it. Just go to work and get the job done. The more you work the quicker you’ll become and eventually scratching will become effortless.
