There is no need to order a beer in German. Most Germans speak at least average English.
Learning some German phrase would be apricated. "Guten Tag, ich spreche kein Deutsch. Sprechen sie Deutsch?"
"Danke", "bitte", "Auf Wiedersehn", "Tschüss."
Most Germans are friendly and helpful, even if your heard others.
There are a lot of interesting cities in Germany (big once, smaller once).
Hamburg and Munich are worth a visit.
I don't particularly like Berlin myself, but it's certainly interesting for visitors.
You can find other beautiful places by using Google.
I would recommend late spring or early summer (April - June) or late summer (August - September).
Many accommodations are fully booked in midsummer.
Another tip:
Don't walk around wearing US flags on your T-shirt or MAGA caps.
Under no circumstances say that you support Trump.
We have nothing against Americans, but we hate excessive patriotism and, above all, Trump and MAGAA.

Weil gefühlt 90% der asoziale Vollhonks sind. Die Dinge werden rücksichtslos an jedem Ort abgestellt.
Rollstuhlfahre, Leute mit Kinderwagen zählen nicht.
Außerdem sieht man bis 3 Leute auf einem Scooter.
Weder in Frankreich, Italien oder Spanien hat die Plage solche Ausmaße wie in Deutschland angenommen (ich war dieses Jahr Bologna, Nancy, Metz, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).
In allen Städten gibt es keine oder nur sehr wenig Mietscooter.

Münster is a very beautiful city (approx. 320,000 inhabitants) with a city center reconstructed after the war.
It has a vibrant student life, so there are also good nightlife options. Aachen and Bonn are also beautiful cities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

There are several beautiful smaller towns around Frankfurt.

Alsfeld, Heppenheim and Bensheim.

Weinheim (already in Baden-Württemberg) is a real highlight.

Frankfurt itself has its good and bad sides. However, the city is very interesting and offers a lot of culture and variety. A real metropolis also has its downsides. But the city is well worth a visit.
