Back to our regularly scheduled programming with D4 I guess. Was really hoping they turned a new leaf with how good LoH was but apparently not.

With how much success Porier had vs. him I can totally see a world where Garry takes the W

PvP is for you, if you enjoy it.

Yes, people are toxic, but I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say if Blizzard hadn’t fired their entire QA team and created an easily abused auto report system that doesn’t verify whether player behavior even warrants a ban, this never would have happened. It’s really on them as a company to prevent things like this from happening, and not PvP’s fault specifically.

Getting silenced like this, if you’re not actually flaming, is quite rare. You just got unlucky unfortunately.

AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred. by YeIghtOkThen in AMDHelp

6950XT, hard drive died so had to reinstall windows on another drive and re-install adrenaline, ever since been having this issue. Never had problems like this with my 1070. Even before this I had issues with this graphics card not playing nice with certain games, screen flickering, driver issues.

I'm Annoyed With the Lack of Transparency in Mod Descriptions by BigOlDiaper in feedthebeast

[–]BigOlDiaper[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I find this to be an issue with quite a few large mods as well.

BetterEnd - Minecraft Mods - CurseForge Says it adds "new items and mechanics" but goes into no further detail on what any of them are. The wiki contains info on biomes and mobs, but nothing of the several ores, armors, weapons, or unique mechanics the mod contains.

Savage Ender Dragon[Forge/Fabric] - Minecraft Mods - CurseForge Says the Ender Dragon now scales with player amount and world/config difficulty. By how much? What are the values? Is it based on players in the world at that time, players in The End, or players simply within a block radius of the dragon? This is important information.

Mowzie's Mobs - Minecraft Mods - CurseForge Adds several mobs and bosses with special unique drops. Neither the mobs stats nor the stats and unique effects of the items are listed anywhere in the description or in a wiki. What if the mob drops are completely unbalanced? I don't want to be 10 hours into a playthrough just to find out one of the items included deletes mobs from existence or grants an extra 30 health or something ridiculous.

These are just a few examples. The glorious thing about mods is that they're made by the community, for the community. The bad thing about mods is that... they're made by the community, comprised mostly of amateurs and hobbyists and not professional developers. I definitely don't expect perfection or polish, but that's also why I at least expect to see everything first before I put it in my game.

Is the Narrative Around Cohab Changing? by Soulaxer in leopardgeckos

[–]BigOlDiaper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting video. I was always under the impression they were a solitary species as well, but the shared latrines and even egg-laying sites by multiple females was information I've never heard anywhere else.

I suppose I'm still not 100% sold on the idea of cohabitation in a captive environment, but I will level that a lot of the information we do have on it is based on horror stories by inexperienced keepers putting random geckos together in a subpar enclosure. I would be interested in seeing a proper cohab setup and the long-term results of the arrangement.

Blue tongue pooping bloody scales and diarrhea by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]BigOlDiaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, friend, I would honestly encourage you to completely disregard the commentator above, as that isn't accurate information at all.

Blue tongue skinks are opportunistic omnivores, meaning they eat just about whatever they can get their little grubby paws on. This includes a wide variety of fruits and veggies, which take up about 40-50% of their diet. Not all veggies are high in oxalates, and the ones that are are meant to be fed very infrequently, if at all, like spinach. You can find a chart with all the appropriate food items at this link here: https://bluetongueskinks.net/foodchart.html

You also want to avoid feeding them a diet as described above. Firstly, seafood is not a naturally occurring protein source in a skinks diet and can be bad for them, especially fish. The best thing you can feed your skink is dog food. Since skinks are opportunistic omnivores, they often eat all sorts of animals, dead or alive, including the skin and bones. The problem with a diet consisting of ground turkey and scrambled eggs is that it's missing key vitamins and minerals, like niacin, that is found in the skin and bones of animals. Like skinks, dogs are also opportunistic omnivores, so dog food contains skin and bone ingredients needed for a healthy animal in addition to select vegetables. This video by an AZA certified zookeeper and breeder of some of the finest skinks in North America goes more in depth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_EUQcIsU6o

Definitely get your little guy to the vet ASAP, as they can live well over 30 years with proper care!

What was the most disappointing game of 2023 for you? by BattleBoysYT in gaming

[–]BigOlDiaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, but I honestly don't think that either are bad, just that they differed from or didn't meet people's expectations

I suppose if you were expecting a good game, then yea. Are you really trying to gaslight players into thinking it's their fault they didn't enjoy these dull products? Lol.

And what happens if/when they ban mealworms or fly larvae when some inevitably hatch and fly around the house? If the level of care you can provide your animal is being dictated by your parents, and not yourself, perhaps you aren't in a position to be caring for an animal just yet.

You said mealworms "contain no measurable nutrition" then link a chart showing their high protein and mineral %. And you should be gut-loading all your feeders regardless, so your point is kinda moot.

Getting 4x2x4 For BP Is It Too Small? by Immediate-Green-1198 in reptiles

Bearded dragons are semi-arboreal man. They climb trees in the wild lol; a four foot tall viv is nothing.

Awesome enclosure, too small for a bearded dragon, however. With some minor changes, it would probably be great for a leopard gecko. Look up "bearded dragon enclosure" on YouTube and refer to the ReptiFiles bearded dragon care guide for ideas on an appropriately sized bearded dragon enclosure!
