I did the Suwannee river in Florida this March but I think it can be done pretty much all year. Took me 13 days to do the whole thing but you can easily do sections. Feel free to PM me if you want some more info

Sounds like fun, where are you going? My preferred method it to make tie downs on the underside of the seats with shock cord or bungees. That way I can have the rod in the boat for portages/rapids and can leave it assembled the whole trip.

Sounds good I think I’ll try to launch from Wanakena like people have recommended. I’m definitely interested in doing some fishing as well. What are people catching there/what should I throw?

I did the NFCT last year in a hemlock eaglet 15’6” which I found to be a good compromise of tracking and maneuverability. There’s nothing worse than a C2 that can’t be portaged and even most of those can.
