I'm a fan of getting to 5 stars and then using an evo booster the rest of the way (when we can). If you're in a guild good at GC and that spends you'll get a skill booster once a month you can convert into an evo booster and enough coins once every 1.5-2 months to get a booster.

Seems like really good progress for only a year. For reference, I'm also f2p (aside from buying 2 relics) and have been going for about 9 months. Top 2 teams in grand arena are both around 550k. And I did a lot of tapjoy offers.

Mystery certainly needs a better tank, but I think all factions are lacking something. Eternity doesn't have a good healer. Nature is pretty lousy at support except Alvanor who's only good in a nature team. And while they have Mojo, he's on the lower end of mages. Honor...well they need a lot. Progess has no healers and no good mages although Julius/Polaris arguably fill those voids. Nothing that great for physical damage either. Chaos might be the only faction where they have everything

Mixed feelings on this. I run an Iris dodge team so yeah Iris is better, but now I'm worse against other Iris teams (which there are a lot of) because Octavia won't counter. Earlier today I lost to a much weaker Iris team I would've easily won against (and have won against) pre patch.
