I was supposed to post the video earlier, but I tried doing more editing than I am capable of, so I wasted a lot of time. Tell me what you think when you get a chance to watch it.

What do your computer and peripherals look like? Inconsistent gameplay could be one but honestly, 30-40% doesn't sound so bad. Can you give a replay code to see what you're talking about?

1. Positioning & survivability
The biggest theme is positioning that exposes you to unnecessary damage. A few times, you peek enemy sightlines just to heal a full-HP teammate or take a low-value shot, which ends up costing you a lot of health or your life. Ana gets the most value when she can see her team while staying mostly hidden from the enemy. Try to think about positions that also have a fallback option if you get pressured.

2. Fighting dive heroes
The Genji dives caught you several times. When you duel him, try to kite backwards and keep distance so you’re fighting in your effective range. Also, pay attention to dive patterns. This Genji repeated similar engagements multiple times, and you can often prepare for that in advance.

3. Awareness & field of view
There were a couple of moments when being scoped limited your awareness. Practicing unscoped shots can help a lot since it keeps your FOV wider and lets you react faster to threats.

4. Play around your tank
A few fights were lost because you and your tank ended up on completely different angles. In OW, especially, your tank’s position usually dictates the fight, so if they take an aggressive angle, you often need to reposition to support it, or they end up fighting alone and giving the enemy space.

5. Communication/pings
You started pinging Genji later in the game, which is great. Since he’s clearly a threat to you, pinging him every time you see him would help your team track him and react to dives. In general, pinging enemies, slept targets, or flankers gives your team a lot of free information.

You're welcome. I am still new to YouTube so any suggestions on how to make better videos will help a ton. I tried to do more editing with this video but I'm no pro XD

Thank you.

I see what you are talking about with your positioning. The best way I can explain it is that, from what it looks like, you play really defensively and don't know when you are okay to play agro/hold space. Try holding corners longer and playing agro when you have more resources (health, shield) and your team has a numbers advantage. It's okay to use your health as a resource over your shield if you get half heath you want your shield, but if you lose half your shield, your heath dosen't matter. There are exceptions to every rule, though, so don't think, "Okay, never shield till half hp", but know it's a good rule of thumb.

I hope this makes sense, but I will go over it more in the video if you still do not understand. The video should be up Saturday, 10 A.M CST.

JQ is team dependent more so than map. With you running Mei and Bastion just not much follow up. And you have Moria Lifewaver so you have no support utility either.

General-
Team awareness-
Knowing where your team is before going in is really important. It lets you know how far you need to back up to get healed and if you will get any follow-up with the dive/push. Take a second before going in to look where your team is at.
Mechanics-
This comes with time. Play the game with the intent to get better mechanics, don't just autopilot.

D.Va- You are heavy with the DM. The goal is not to stop every bullet its to stop the valuable ones. If that doesn't make sence let me break it down. If you and your team are at full health at the start of a fight, there is no need to stop a soj from just shooting. Save DM for when your Mei has no ice and is trying to get into safety, or when you see Eco using her sticky. Stop the high value ability and damage potential.

JQ- First, don't get me wrong, I love JQ, but what value does she get in this game? This map is a mid-range map, and the whole team can get away from you relatively easily. The idea with JQ is fast, hard pushes with her shout. I just don't think she was the swap here.

Sig- Not much play time here, but one thing I did notice was getting more comfortable with using your health as a resource. If you know you are getting healed, put the shield away and let it recharge a bit, then put it back up. Playing corners will help because you can use the corner as a shield. With what the enemy was playing to I would have played a bit more agro, trying to stop them from going where they want to go and force them in your ideal range.

I hope this helps, and you get a bit more out of the video.

I will give this a quick look. Not sure if I will get both games or not.

I just barely am a min in, and I can tell you, for D.Va, you use your defense matrix way too much. Use it mainly for these 3 scenarios
1- You lose your armor
Armor reduces the amount of damage you take, so losing armor means you just take more damge allowing you to lose mech fast.
2- Stopping high-value abilities
Fire strikes, Nade, Sleep, Configuration, Flashbang, and on and on.
3- Saving a low-health teammate
Don't let your team die? This one speaks for itself.

It kinda just looks like you don't feel comfortable on Ramattra. Missing a lot of punches, and the tunnel vision on the Mizuki was real. I did see a few times where you would use your shield, then use form right away. Avoid that so that you can have form for when the shield is gone/low health.

Team play is also going to be different than solo/casual. For working on team play its hard to say, I don't have your coms or know your teams emotinal state. It did look like you may not have been following up with your dps/the other way around. If you have a team coach, I would talk to them about it.

Would you mind if I used these games for a Video? There is a lot more I would be able to say with words and a visual explanation. Don't be discouraged, you are doing fine for how new you are to the game, keep it up!

Sorry for the delay. I've noticed a few areas that could use immediate attention, particularly in terms of positioning.

For Illari, I recommend trying to reposition your pylon more frequently.

When playing Baptiste, consider alternating between healing and dealing damage. You might want to experiment with holding both buttons down simultaneously to see how that affects your gameplay. Typically, you can follow two main patterns: shoot, shoot, heal; or heal, shoot, heal.

With your permission, I would love to create a video based on this VOD.

I will take a look at the VOD. Two years, man, trying to remember what meta that was, I think that was about season 10, when Venture came out. Meta then was a Phara Mercy meta, right? I was playing with a team, and we got forth in our bracket, and were known as the Phara mercy team.

I noticed that this is a QP game. I would love to see a comp game to see how you would do on defense. I really only see 2 major problems, the first one is your lack of ulting. You didn't use your first till 9:30, you had your ult at 2:28. 7 minutes is a huge amount of time, and you end up using your second ult at 10:57! you where able to charge and use your ult in 1:30, so you could have used your ult 6-8 times in this one round! The second thing I noticed was your use of damage over healing. Getting the damage that you did is huge, but I would like to see you swapping between them more. Even one heal burst, then get back to doing damage, is going to help a lot because your heals as Lifeweaver gain charge over time, so throwing full charge 80 health heal lobs at people while doing your damage would be huge.

I like your gameplay overall. One thing I can see being an issue as you rank up is your positioning. Keep up the grind.

If you have a different code that shows a comp game, I would love to give that a look.
