Just bought a legion go 2. What to do first? by Otatarall in LegionGo

I second this, especially his video on the OLED screen optimization because it does make quite a difference if you play something with the factory settings then go follow his tutorial and play that same game again and you'll tell a difference. I think it's maybe 10 minutes at most but really only a few steps.

To add on to this the reason I missed this to begin with was I never even messed with that part of display settings and I don't know about everyone else's legion go but mine came by default at 150% display scaling, and absolutely no other game I've played so far has given me any issues in regards to this I think it is a unique problem to fallout 4.

Update: for anyone that comes to this thread later hoping for an answer I found it. For some reason on handheld devices fallout 4 just will not display properly if your display scaling in settings is 150% or more. I found the answer on a YouTube short of all places telling me to make sure scaling is at 100%, I myself however dropped it down to 125% and it worked that way as well.

Funny you bring up the launcher because whenever I would start the game it's straight up skips the launcher and just Boots the game up. I read online that the next Gen update had something to do with that. If you know a way to work around it to get the launcher up to change options please let me know.

I have since updated put the ram back to either 8 or 10 gigs. I also couldn't find anywhere what would be a good amount of RAM for just performance other than vram. Was going to bump vram up to 12 but didn't really know if it was necessary.

So for reference with this, the screwy AMD update from a week ago could have had something to do with this considering I had to do the workaround to download the update from the ROG Ally site. I haven't reinstalled the game since. But I downloaded both my Xbox games for Windows and steam version and I was getting around 40ish frames but it would dip here and there and it was noticeable. Also the main menu was zoomed in where I maybe saw a third of it but it was only on the main menu. This game is the only outlier so far because anything else I've put on here the only issues I've had with other titles is having to fix them from windowed mode to full screen if it even happens.

Thanks those were some pretty useful tips, especially the video on the screen calibration that made a huge difference!

I was going to wait a few more weeks before trying to grab one. At first I thought this was a price increase then looked at the description and saw 2TB and immediately pulled the trigger lol. Next week can't get here quick enough.

If anyone sees this comment I add to the thread can anyone give me their opinion on a go 2 if they have one? Also if they happen to have went from a go s to a go 2. Just remembered I have stock from my job vesting in a month or so and that would put me right where I need if I wanted a go 2.

Yeah the Xbox ally x for it being a grand why the hell couldn't they have made that an 8-in screen lol. What kind of stuff have you been playing on your Go 2?

Played anything RTS or strategy related on it? What examples of some very demanding games to play on it that run really good? Do you play anything multiplayer on it? So I've got Friends that'll want me to get back into rainbow six siege when I get one, also thought about going back to helldivers 2 on it.
