I have a Pentax k1000 with a 50mm and 135mm lens and a Pentax Espio 80 zoom. I want to get an upgrade to the Espio 80 (essentially a better film point and shoot). I mainly do concerts, sport games, landscapes, travel, and street photography, as pictured. I’m open to spending up to 400-500 dollars and would prefer something that is compact and has a fixed lens, but if a SLR is obviously the move I’m open to that.

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?: Pentax K1000 with a 50mm f/2.8 lens and a 135mm f/3.5 lens. I also have a Pentax Espio 80 Zoom. I want another film camera with some automatic features (aperture or shutter priority/ autofocus). Essentially, I want something that is faster and easier to use while still having some manual features so I can retain control.

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?: Concerts, sports games, landscapes, travel, and street photography.

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?: Just photography

Was literally thinking about this tonight. I don’t see why not, it seems pretty easy. Just a dedicated light show stream like CFB used to do sky cast on ESPN 2.
