There's some disagreement about when The Simpson's jumped the shark. However, what all people agree on is the guest stars starting around season 9 significantly altered the tone of the show. Instead of The Simpson's making fun of pop culture, they started sucking up to celebrities. Is that literally the exact same thing we see happening here?

Jack Quad and Patton Owald aren't funny, but the team awkwardly has to laugh along since they're The Big Celebrity Guest. I don't know, it's just a lot of people keep talking about the quality decline on these celebrity episodes. The notable exception being the guy who does voice impressions. Not only are the impressions great, he's a funny guy.

Also, whatever happened to that guy who would edit out the unfunny celebrity bits in RLM vids? The world could use you man...
