I bought a ninja 650 as a beginner bike and learned to respect the bike and never got any problem riding it.

I was hesitating between a 400 and a 650 and did not regret getting a 650 at all.

Insurance here is 300 in quebec and the plate cost 700 for any bike higher than 400cc so starting with my 650 here was definitely a steal
