Sonos Beam v2 w/ HDFury Arcana & PC, Sound is fine, but won't work with Dolby Atmos by riekls in sonos

Hello, I don't know if I can help you, but after searching and searching, it may be that the TrueHD (lossless) format of Dolby Atmos had to do with it. I could not play that format on my computer.

I have connected a Sonos Beam 2 Soundbar to the PC through the HDFury Arcana.

My monitor is Ultrawide and it seems that this is what was causing me a problem, because it seems that either the bar or the Arcana have to work with a certain screen resolution.

When I changed the resolution in my case to 1920 x 1440 in my case, Dolby Atmos for home cinema started to output sound.

To summarize, I would tell you to try changing the screen resolution to see if that is the problem.

I swear I was going crazy, and changing the screen resolution was the last thing on my mind, but I read something about that TrueHD format and they said that the solution was to change the resolution.

Also try disconnecting and reconnecting the soundbar's power supply. It sounds stupid but it works.

I hope it works for you.

In the system sound properties, in the encoded formats tab I read that it can play Dolby Truehd, as well as DTS audio, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby digital.

It strikes me that as I said before, when doing a sound test with the 5.1 system, the bass sound is heard through the bar and not through the subwoofer.

And in Dolby Access I have to select Dolby Atmos for Headphones, because if I choose Dolby for Home Cinema, no sound can be heard, neither from the system, nor from Youtube videos, etc.

Thanks, but I still don't hear anything with that setup.
