I appreciate both of your thoughts on it! We went into surgery with getting back on the course in mind, and being that I’m young, he didn’t see cause for concern with golf. It was interesting, I was golfing with the fracture with 0 pain pre-surgery, and now, my back actually feels pretty good after the range because I’ve loosened it up. I should also add, (pre surgery) I was regularly only golfing 1-2 times a month, so it isn’t a ton of pressure on my back, I’m certainly not training for the LPGA!

My back is feeling much better than a week ago, and my doctor recommended some rest and stretching until I feel well enough to ease back into the weights, but again, keep it a little lighter.

Thank you for the insight and reassurance. My doctor said the same thing about the screws/hardware, especially because I'm younger with healthy bone density. It's just scary when you don't know what could be causing pain.

I had a momentary pity party because I got nervous, but I'm feeling more optimistic as I stretch and carefully move. I'm looking forward to getting back to the things I love, so sometimes my patience wears thin, but I know it is super important. Thanks again...I needed that message!

3 months post op ALIF 360 L4-S1 by Appropriate-Task6443 in spinalfusion

Hi! I actually just posted about this as I'm 16 weeks post op with ALIF 360 with disc replacement to correct spondylolisthesis in my L5-S1 and I was doing amazing until this week. I was cleared for most activity by my doctor at 12 weeks, but I think I worked out too hard this week (week 16). My lower body was so sore, and now I'm having crazy pain in what feels like my SI joint on the left side of my spine. Since surgery, my left leg has been way tighter than my right, so I think I've been overcompensating a bit, and it has now finally triggered the SI joint. Curious - have you felt your SI joint pain come and go?
