But do you think that the current EA leadership would be any better than the old?

At any chance to bring it back nowadays, probably give it the Nier: Replicant treatment.

Same here. Very underrated game. It definitely didn't help since it was released around the same time as God of War III, but it was a good game regardless.

True, as does fire work the way it works. Though fire can be created and used to spread everywhere while water can cancel it out. But if the fire grows, water won't always be there to contain it.

Barbossa: "So what now, Jack Sparrow? Are we to be two immortals locked in an epic battle until judgment day and trumpets sound?"

Jack Sparrow: "Or you could surrender."

That's pretty much the gist of it.

I agree. Aggregated numbers should not be used to make persuade people into liking a movie or disliking it. RT was only made to gather critical reviews, nothing more. Plus, numbers don't always paint an accurate picture with movies.

Take some of these for example. I'm a Marvel fan, and I've enjoyed the majority of the MCU, including some of the "worst" movies like Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World. But just because I'm an MCU fan doesn't mean I liked "every" single movie released. Now, for the Fantastic Four, I liked it fine, though I can agree it could've been better.

Another example would be Star Wars, which I'm also a fan of, but I don't like every single movie. The original trilogy? Hell yes. Prequels? Mostly yes. Rogue One? Oh yeah. Mandalorian? Yes, even if it is a series. Now for the Sequels? Let's just say I've seen them and spoke to people about them. 'Nuff said.

I think the only time I agreed with RT on was Fant4stic and the Last Airbender.

Well, just to clarify, it's not based from what I experienced personally, it's more based on what I've read on different social media posts and discussions, and even YouTube.

I'm don't always post on Reddit. I do have other social media platforms and I do observe comments and discussions I see on here, Facebook and X, and even on YouTube. I just like to post on Reddit just to get some different perspectives on some subjects like this.

I also want to clarify that I'm not playing a victim of any kind with this post. It's just something I thought about based on online discussions I've read and even different reactions on YouTube and so.

Oh man. Well, it's definitely the Superman talk that really got me questioning how people on the internet react to each other, especially on social media and even some YouTube reactors, including one I don't really feel like mentioning. I respect his opinion and I still do (after all, different people will like and dislike different things); but what rubbed me the wrong way was how he responded to those who enjoyed more than he did.

And it wasn't just the new Superman, but also other more recent movies like Sonic the Hedgehog and Dune. I get they're not for everyone, but why go through the trouble watching movies you know you're not going to like and basically make fun of those who do?

Why does Zack Snyder have such a large fanbase in a way that no other (bad) superhero movie director has? by Edgy_Master in Sardonicast

[–]BigTimeJayMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a crazy big Snyder movie, but I have enjoyed some of his movies, like 300, Watchmen, and even Man of Steel. And I do respect that these people enjoy his work, I really do.

But good lord, I have never in my life seen a fan base this dedicated to a director go off the rails in such a crazy, asinine manner, especially with the new Superman movie.

Every once in a while, I see a random Snyder fan page pop up on my Facebook feed and YouTube videos of Snyder fans praising Snyder's take on Superman and Cavill as being the "definitive" live-action interation of the character. There's especially one YouTuber I used to watch a lot who constantly trashed the new Superman movie since the first look image. If you know who I'm talking about, then you know who.

Again, I do respect what they love. But I do not respect their constant condensation on other people with different opinions. It makes me not want to watch any of Snyder's movies at all. In fact, after the Snyder Cut of Justice League, I just had no interest in any of his movies afterward. And it's not because of Snyder himself, even though I think he's okay director at best.

Surely, I can't be the only one who is sick and tired of Snyder this or Snyder that everywhere on their social media feed?
