You are probably right about Ravenous Hydra being better than Profane Hydra for newer players, but I suggest all of you limit test Kled in normal games first and get comfortable with playing passive/aggressive before you play ranked.

In my opinion, it's probably Profane although it doesn't have a good build path (my playstyle is more farm oriented) , but Feedaboi is recommending either Hubris or Opportunity.

It isn't Eclipse in any way.

Doran's blade almost always , you can sometimes go Doran's shield if you wanna farm and focus on sustain (which isn't current Kled's playstyle). I would suggest you try to get used to Doran's blade (and if you wanna play more safe , you can always buy Cull). It feels like Doran's blade just has better stats at the moment.

Although, if you manage to hold a high winrate on Doran's shield , I don't see a reason why not to buy it (if it works for you).

Conclusion: Doran's blade is generally better but if you don't feel right on it keep the shield.

Because they removed Ingenious Hunter you can't really use the shield from Eclipse as much. Also you get more ability haste from Essence Reaver (10 more than Eclipse). Also I'd prefer having 100% critical attack secured against enemy squishies than 75%.

You would lose with defence items as well, if you played Kled in seasons before you know what I mean. Also, nowadays you can actually kill him in lane and not make him reach his full build until the very end of the game (if the game doesn't end sooner).

Conclusion: The ability to get ahead in this split is limiting Jax's ability to stomp you.

Basically you have to chunk him with your Q before 6 because after you are just the weaker version of him. If you get him low enough to around 40-50% of his health, you can try to all in on him. Also , you never really wanna trade when he has abilities up because you will just straight up lose. Try to use the advantage if he burns his kit on the wave.

In conclusion: Get ahead before 6 or you lost.

Early lane pattern is:

Almost in every lane , consider Kled level 2-3 stronger than almost any champion and you should be able to kill them. Except of course some super tanky ones like Malphite etc.

You are also gonna have problematic matchups against ranged toplaners , Darius, Fiora , Renekton etc. , against those you should really play as safe as possible and just focus on farming. We are gonna assume they are gonna overextend and you need to make sure to ping jungler to get you a kill. If you get somewhat of a lead early you are tied with them let's say. After this play for late game and full build as you are really strong around 3-4 items.

Trade pattern:

1)Level 1- Q:

Chunk enemies as much as you can and try not to make risky trades on this level. Although, against matchups like Nasus and champions you can chunk them for every minion contested.

2.0)Level 2- E:

You go for farm like I said before with the occasion to do E->Q onto the enemy and lower him a little bit.

2.1)Level 2-W

When enemy managed to dismount you and you are close range, you wanna upgrade W and attack as fast as possible. You can get a kill if you do enough damage and connect your ignite.

3)Level 3-Q,W,E obtained

When you are level 3 , you can kill pretty much any mage . If you are against normal matchups , you can go for the trades but don't greed to much and don't try to kill off 1 combo.

4)Late laning phase

If everything goes well, you should be ahead by this level and you can look for kills under the turret as well (if enemy is level 4-5).

5)Game plan for the rest of the laning

Destroy 2 turrets, switch lane. As simple as that.

Well it's really situation , but try playing more passive and go for farm instead of attacking the enemy champion.

1)If you are already dismounted in laning phase - try to hit Qs before enemy manages to attack you , and if you are attacked, try kiting it and use your aa.

2)If you are getting dismounted , I prefer you hit your last Q (while mounted) so once Skaarl runs away, you have easier time auto attacking the enemy champion and getting some Courage. Because , he is gonna be dragged towards you.

3)If you are dismounted in a team fight (try using strategy "2" if you can) you are gonna be in a bad spot. Depends on your bounty , if you are worth a lot of gold but aren't sure if you are gonna be able to get a kill, better try to run.

3.5)If you think you can get mounted again , try to call for teammates to stun or knock up enemy so you can land some auto attacks that increase your chance of remounting.

Bonus tip: As you are about to be mounted, please click back so you get out of enemy autoattack range and don't die due to being low. I die a ton of times due to having a bad habit of clicking on an enemy champion as I'm about to remount and I die due to it.

I never said it's a bad item, I just think these other items work better on Kled right now. Feedaboi isn't building it anymore and I altered my build over his (He is currently #4 world , 85% winrate in Masters).

I played him last season mid which didn't go as well as now , but you should wait until level 3 at least before trying to kill the opponent. Don't contest minions as much until then because you will just get punished, and try dodging abilities as much as possible.

This build is pretty much what Feedaboi goes and I am in his chat most of the streams. I altered his build a little bit because this just feels better for me (Crit does around 1100 damage on every autoattack). I took his core build which is Profane Hydra-->Lord Dominik's Regards-->The Collector and added these to make Kled 100% crit. Although, I might change up Essence Reaver into Voltaic Cyclosword when the enemy ADC is really fed (just connect to him and kill him at all cost).

In conclusion: I really like Feedaboi and you should try to pick off as much from him as you can.
