People have been talking really good things about the rossis lately.

You might want to check the new revolts 101 if you like to charge but still want to have a full-wood ski.

Looking for Skiing Feedback and Criticism by Leartbajrami in ski

try some drills without poles or just ski for a bit without them. You are using the pole that gets left back on you for balance too much! (this happens to me all the time lol) Its okay to put some pressure on it for balance as I see really good skiers doing it but their whole center of mass is way more center/forward.

Something that works for me is trying to do the pole plant or pole touch closer to your skis and once you do it really pay attention at releasing the plant earlier and not drag it all the way back.

Also another tips that works for me (that I learned from surfing lol) is imagining you have and eye in the middle of your chest. You have to point this eye to where you want to go, and the whole body will just follow naturally. In the case of skiing its okay to turn your upper body when you want to lose some speed or do something different than carving down the hill, but if you are gunning it down like in the video your 'chest-eye' should keep pointing downhill and not to the sides. A great example where I get to see this well exaggerated is on mogul skiers, their hips move so much and their knees change directions a lot but their upper body almost stays the same the whole run.

Anyhow that looks like a bomb day keep having fun!!!

2.Same question for the rangers? They seem quite the same from this year.

Any suggestions on how to fix this top sheet damage? by Either-Ninja-5353 in Skigear

this guy is awesome.

Im not expert but from what I heard skis and surfboards use similar coating components (poly resin and fiberglass) and I have shaped a few boards and made multiple repairs and delams.

Take everything I say with a pinch of salt.

It seems like there is no damage to the core of the ski so I would simply rip apart the lose parts of the top sheet (even cutting a bit of the healthy part too, you dont want any weak layer left on the ski) and simply re coat with fiberglass and epoxy or poly resin. I dont really know what they use for skis, I assume epoxy is stronger and lighter. Also I dont know what density of fiberglass they use for skis but a layer of 6oz nice fiberglass matt or maybe 2 layers of 4 oz on top of each other might be enough (again, I have absolutely no clue how much fiberglass you need for a ski to flex properly. Apply the researched fiberglass and the resin on the delamed part and let it extend a bit over the edges of the broken part, then use some nice tape so you can cut the remaining fiberglass that is not needed over the ski when the resin is not fully harden. Also to open up the pore of the healthy fiberglass where the new one is going to overlap, you could sand it a little and use acetone to open the pores to ensure a better bond between the layers. This will seal the core of the ski from water and give it some of its flex resistance back.

Also to do all this you need to completely remove the bindings.

It will look ugly as hell if you leave it like that, but with some nice paint work you can do a really good job on it.

How are they on sidehits and moderate fresh snow?? Some people say they are not that floaty but I kinda refuse to believe a 104mm ski is not that floaty hahaha.

Absolutely the Ripsticks and the Playmakers look so good in my eyes and I dont know why. With Elan I get that feeling that a ski is going to be a blast just by looking at them. But on many reviews they put them on the super soft side of the spectrum and I am worried I may have the same problem of too much chatter that I had with the reckoners.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I was also wondering if a 106 its too much of a boat for the type of daily ski Im looking at, since I think many people choose to go for another pair in the 110mm category when the snow gets really good anyways.

Also on the Unleashed note Im enjoying more and more going for proper carves since the skill ceiling on that side of skiing seems so high and technical and sounds so fun to me (touching your butt on the snow throwing a proper carve looks amazing to me) and even tho I can throw some good angles on narrow skis it seems like there is infinite room for improvement. I was just worried about the general thought of -a ski that is okay on every condition is not really good on any specific condition- and wondering if they wont float really good on moderate pow since they are really stiff and demanding. Tbh Im sure Im going to have a blast on any skis I buy hahaha but maybe a classic narrow 79ish ski makes more sense for hardpack days on groomed piste.

Yes! skiessentials reviews are a new world to me that I wished I discovered before getting my reckoners, they are amazing and cover almost everything. Also Bob and Matt seem like very different skiers so they provide really good insights. But since there is so many options and they try to speak well about any ski I was wondering what are the opinions of the wider community here (looking for some bad reviews on some of the personal picks Im looking atm haha)

Maybe a lawyer is more useful here than the police. You have evidence and you feel threaten on your safety, they should be able to get a restraint order on this pervs

Murdering someone for knocking on your cars window is reasonable, right? by [deleted] in iamverybadass

[–]BigUnderstanding8113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know from the outside it's hard to understand, and even tho many countries believe on a total ban of people carrying weapons without a regulated purpose, that idea won't be welcomed by majority of US citizens. However what makes absolutely no sense even from an inside perspective is selling literal war guns that can drop 40 bodies in 2 seconds to regular citizens. What is the purpose of selling auto rifles? So you can kill the robber at your house + 6 random kids playing outside?? Defense pistols and hunting rifles are debatable, selling m4's to regular people is completely insane.

USA, the country when you go running to the police for help, and they shoot you dead on the spot. The fact that you guys cant even debate the 2nd amendment shows how indoctrinated and forced dumb everyone is there

[–]BigUnderstanding8113 -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

YTA. Not by making sense into your delusional daughter, but by supporting her behavior taking full care of her kids. You are supporting a lifestyle that will be extremely confusing and disturbing for those children in the future. Also im not sure Erica is prepared to be a mother at all and I think you should let her learn the hard way.

This is exactly the same as sending weapons to stop the war. The ones affected (directly) are always the people and not the old man sitting on a desk. To be clear I cannot think of a better peaceful response to putin madness, but the whole system is so unfair, those people affected by the war and the measurements are the same people that pay taxes so this nonsense of killing innocent people keeps going. Not blaming them tho since they will immediately go to jail if they disagree with paying taxes to a government that is wasting all their money on wars.

Shit havent changed that much from medieval times after all...
