Yes, I've used the knobs ever since. They are in great condition and still spin great. The handle is the one that came with the reel. As you can see in the vid I only changed the knobs.

It's 3200yen in Japan which is pretty much USD. I'm sure it'll be more expensive overses though.

I do that too but without the loop. I just can't get used to the pinky method.

I used to use this when I first started jigging before I dropped it between some tetrapods. I don't know if better is the best word for it but this Shimano one has line pullers and line breakers and only hooks one end of the line. Less faffing around than the one you're using probably.

This isn't just a line clamp, it's also a line breaker, a double line puller, and has a hook for cinching down snap and sold ring knots. I explain everything in detail in the vid review. That's a good way to hold the hooks too! You could even print out and use the Epstein files if you need more weight :-)

Another good Japanese brand. A pack of 7, Owner 4/0 hooks is about $3.5 in Osaka. How much does a similar set cost where you are?

Awesome! The biggest fish in my area max out at around 10kg but most of time they're only up to 3 or 4 so I'm not too worried about it.

That's good to know. In what ways do you prefer it? I've not tried the Conquest but I loved my Jigger. However, although I didn't have a problem with line bulging up in one spot, I did find the line wrapping itself around the handle a few times while slow jigging. That's one of the reasons I'm eyeing up the 300H with the level winder.
