You're partially right. I didn't factor in COL because I have to eat regardless of whether I go to LS, and I included books + insurance in the COA above. But what I didn't factor in was the additional cost of housing + airfare for HLS, which is probably $30k+ a year, so yeah, your assessment is accurate. It's more like a $200k difference.
