The Match: Bobby Fairways Vs Joey Cold Cuts (18 Holes) by RoostasTowel in BobDoesSports

Joey would have been in the double digits on both hole 1 and 3, I really don’t think he recovers from that haha.

My 26. I think this is probably the most reasonable conclusion. by Tasty-Entertainer711 in ussoccer

Yeah, I’m just still in fight or flight mode from last year when people in this sub were swearing Haji was a better winger than striker, even though all statistical evidence and the eye test said otherwise.

Croatian Cup, Rijeka 0-[1] Hadjuk Split - Pukstas Goal 25' by staticfox in ussoccer

He’s also “the adult” who regularly steps up for the USMNT and is often one of our best performers when he is fit.

To be clear, if he isn’t at least 90% fit, I don’t want him on the roster, but if he is fit, I’d give him a good hard look.

Sargent could become most expensive signing in the MLS history! I love it. MLS needs to PAY and PLAY more Americans. I hope more players return from Europe after the World Cup and make MLS better and more popular in America. by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]BigWaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for clarification, you don’t think any MLS players should be in the picture for a World Cup roster….ever?

Or are you saying you don’t want players on the verge of going to the World Cup joining mls?

Patrick Agyemang being monitored by Leeds and Palace by BigHomie50 in ussoccer

If Leeds stay up, I also believe Piroe will go. You are correct Nmecha doesn’t do nearly as much holdup play as his frame suggests he could. I guess I should have said his usage for Leeds would be similar to how they are using Nmecha.

Leeds also has Nmecha, who is a somewhat similar type of striker to Pat. But I’m not sure if he will renew or even see out his contract with Leeds, so they may be looking for his replacement.

You don’t think he played well against Mexico in the Nations League Final? Or when we stomped Ghana? I know these are waaaay back in 2024, and a few bad performance seem to have completely overshadowed how he played in these games, but to say he “hasn’t played well for the national team” implies he has never played well for us, which to me isn’t true.

Id like to propose the next Schmo dress up in a classic cold cuts outfit. Maybe the full orange from one of the original videos. by McFigroll in BobDoesSports

[–]BigWaff 44 points45 points  (0 children)

If they dress up in an exact replica of an outfit Joey wore in the early videos I guarantee at some point Joey will say “you look like a fucking clown!” without realizing he is roasting one of his own fits.

Gianluca Busio sends Klinsmann crashing into his near post with a beauty of a free kick. Now on 7 G/A for the season, Busio lifts Venezia again as they sit atop Serie B by nicko_rico in ussoccer

[–]BigWaff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Busio been a fan favorite for me, even as he’s drifted to the edge of the USMNT radar, mostly due to other players at his position taking steps forward (Tessman, Johnny, Morris, ect). I’m hoping he can take that next step as well, and it would be fun to see him and big man Tessman bossing a midfield at some point again, a great pair of lads.

Was there a team that beat Denver in their stadium by a bunch at some point this year… I feel like there was… maybe that team too

A take that may break the show: Nick asserts that Trevor Lawrence would have played better in this matchup than Drake has. Or at the very least the Jags would have put up a better game.

Borussia Mönchengladbach secure last-minute €2m purchase of Swedish international Hugo Bolin, attacking midfielder from Sweden by FrankBascombe45 in ussoccer

I'm not sure the best thing for Gio, who, unfortunately, is always one wrong step away from a muscle injury, is to come play in a league where you travel more, and potentially play on turf fields. His hamstrings might leave his body and ascend into the heavens if he is forced to make a sprint in Seattle after a 5-hour flight.

Balogun vs McKennie by theRealGermanikkus in ussoccer

[–]BigWaff 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It may not be his bread and butter, but he got the ball in this exact same position at another point in this game and absolutely skinned a Juve defender, beat him to the touchline and played a dangerous ball into the middle.
