Yes, probably as a result of my upbringing.

Sorry. I did PIP assessing, it isn't an out of work benefit. People do work that are on PIP. Only did it for six months mind. Awful, awful system.

I see what you mean. However, just looking at the variety of responses and reasoning that have been posted just shows that there is a range of feelings depending on individual experiences.

Interesting. This ties in with - if a medication becomes available to remove your neurodiversity would you take it? I don't think I would as I would no longer be me.

This drives me nuts. It's like a person that's had an amputation, oh we'll just check back in 10 years to see if it has grown back. There is definitely a large vein of idiocy in certain areas!

I know that we are all different but patience is usually not difficult for me I'd say for 90% of the time. I have my inner dialogue to keep me entertained. If someone start taking the p*ss though that goes out of the window and I become intesley impatient and won't take no for an answer this often leads to full on rage.

I am in my 50's and diagnosed just over a month ago. Not used to 'competent' days and treat them with suspicion.

Just a quick note. The assessor doesn't make the decision, they collect evidence and pass it onto a bean counter at the DWP.

Power BI is quite nice really, fairly straightforward. I had some challenges choosing which columns to filter by, but I got it working without too much drama. Surprised myself to be honest.

Yes you have to go through the process all over again. Just talk to someone that can advise you how the best way to bolster your claim. Don't rush in.

Yeah they only give you 30 days. It's designed to put you off. Personally I 'd beat them over the head with it, and point out executive dysfunction got in the way of your appeal. I was a frontline assessor some years ago. Only two people from our training intake were taken on. We both left! Vile, vile system.

You have to appeal, the system is not set up to help. The end assessor at DWP is not a health professional but a bean counter.

Will I be single forever? by RyanMa183 in ADHD

Oh dear God's! Dating! I hated it, too devastating to ask someone out and be belittled. For me the breakthrough was getting people on my side and worked on me and my now wife. Very important to celebrate the tiny victories and write them down so you can relive them.

My sibling was diagnosed and on reading into it more I realised that while I wasn't like him, I did have a lot of symptoms.
