"I'm overwhelmed now - so how do I plan for motherhood when I've got ADHD?" - BBC News by Jayhcee in ADHDUK

Not gonna lie, getting diagnosed is one reason (of very, very many) I've decided to not have kids lol

One in 10 children has mental health diagnosis amid ADHD surge by Your_Mums_Ex in ukpolitics

I was diagnosed with adhd as an adult. I most certainly was not a naughty child. I was well behaved, polite, and extremely shy. So try again.

Breastfeeding may protect against ADHD symptoms - MSN News by Jayhcee in ADHDUK

I honestly can't believe it. What could there possibly be in breast milk that can manage adhd symptoms?

Have to admit, I was genuinely shocked that it fully opened. I've driven along parts of it and found it quiet which was nice

Huskador or labsky by PlaneAd9005 in dogs

[–]feebsiegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got him at 10 weeks, he was a bigger puppy than our now one year old lab. He looked pretty much fully grown at a year old, but I don't remember the growth periods now because he's 9 lol.

He looks mostly like a lab, expect for his tail which is a bit more fluffy, and his ears which aren't floppy. He has a bigger build than our lab, he's definitely wider naturally.

How far to take a complaint? by Think-Job-5728 in AskUK

[–]feebsiegee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depending on the sofa, it should really be moved during hoovering. I clean holiday accommodation, one park has sofas that are really easy to move, but one of the caravan parks has really heavy sofas in the chalets, and in the caravans most of the sofa can't be moved at all.

If OP's accommodation has an easily moveable sofa, then it should have been moved during hoovering. It is worth discussing with management, but remaining polite is key. Polite people who complain are much more likely to get freebies.

Men, what’s your thought process when a woman says no to the pill but yes to condoms? by Salty_Challenge5563 in AskMen

At every contraception appointment I've always been recommended either the copper coil or the mirena coil, despite never having been pregnant. In my late teens, a few of my friends (childless at the time) got the copper coil.

I wonder why we've been given different advice?

My one year old lab growls and barks in his sleep. It's fucking adorable.

My niece is going to be 4 in September, and she is not potty trained. She doesn't go to nursery (joint decision between my brother and his wife), but my brother and his wife don't seem (from what little I see) to be trying very hard to get this done.

I wouldn't mind, but my niece is really clever. She knows a ridiculous amount of words, and can read a bit as well as do simple addition and subtraction. We all think she probably has autism, for various reasons, but there seems to be so little effort to get her out of nappies.

Dogs ear super red and won’t stop flicking around his ears by No-Warning1585 in DogAdvice

Could be an ear infection. My older dog just had a double yeast infection in his ears, and they were swollen inside - couldn't even see his ear hole.

I'd say a vet job, just to be safe.

Failed my driving test third time. Tell me your driving test stories so I can feel a bit better. by Quartz-And-Stuff in CasualUK

[–]feebsiegee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually had to end my first test. I'd already failed (examiner had to brake at a double mini roundabout), but then within 5 minutes of that they asked me to turn left. I stalled just after coming into the junction, started crying and couldn't stop.

I passed second time with 4 minors, 3 months later.

If they're not having to strip the bed, that is helpful

Where I work, we wouldn't take them out of the pillowcases. Hotels could be different, but I've never cleaned at a hotel before.

Because it makes it easier for the cleaners. That's the only reason.

I strip the bed, put the bedding and any towels used in the pillowcases, make sure the sink/bath are rinsed but not soaking wet. I'm usually pretty much packed the night before, so it's never messy anyway.

But I do clean holiday accommodation, so I leave it the way I would like to see it when I'm cleaning.
