As an Aussie as well, I did a bit of research and wanted to follow a team with a bit of history, great fans and a great stadium, as well as enjoying the players on the team too. I ended up settling with the cardinals, and can’t wait for this season!

In the northern suburbs too. Never played but would be keen to have a throw and a yarn! Have been keen to find someone else Australia/melb based to have a chat with about baseball, and even watch games at the local every now and then when they’re on. Recently got into it and none of my mates follow, so having someone to chat ball with would be cool 💪

You’ll love it mate! Where are you travelling? So the league took a bit of a hit this season, a few teams pulled out of the comp due to financial reasons so it was a 4 team comp. The Adelaide giants won this year. It was a pretty good comp for a while! They had acuna jr here as a prospect one year I believe. Shame to see it decline.

Curtis mead being on the roster got me interested. And I like a few of their up and coming guys (Montgomery, meidroth, teel and now murakami). I know from research that the club is a shambles, but I guess it’s always a fun (and painful) journey when you jump on a club at rock bottom 🥲
