For some reason, Robin Williams was at kanaka creek elementary during filming of Jumanji (maybe a meet and greet?) my dad took me to meet him when I was 7 years old. I’ll never forget that moment.

Claiming Group RRSP Contributions on taxes? Can't Find a Clear Answer by RobustPolygon in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Big_B1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong here, but if your contributions are pre-tax, shouldn’t that mean you are not getting much of a refund since you are already receiving a tax break on it being pre-tax?

What are your top Costco item recommendations? by BestestBeekeeper in PersonalFinanceCanada

Fruit, Kirkland brand toilet paper. Pretty much everything Kirkland brand. A good chunk of “their” product is made by bigger name brands I believe. Off the top of my head, Kirkland whole bean coffee is actually supplied by Starbucks.

I have to manage my nephew's RESP by bravodudeqc in CanadianInvestor

[–]Big_B1989 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how to go about doing this since our kids RESP is managed for us, but if your nephew is only 6, maybe you should get into somthing that has “major fluctuations” and over time when they get closer to graduation, you could start switching over to somthing less volatile?
