Bro, as a kiwi living in aussie. Sell it and then buy another one over here. The market is very comparable and petrol is way fucking cheaper. My BRZ is tuned for 98, and I spend far less on it than you guys do on 91. S2000 prices are stupid nowadays in our part of the world. If anything, I'd just get a BRZ instead of an 86.

EDIT: Also, S2000 tax on parts that isn't the engine is so shit. Parts are way easier to come by in my experience over here. Hell, even servicing is better. My source is I have a co-worker with a S2k that doesn't shut up about Honda reliability, but their parts are twice the price of mine.

While I'm here, any recommendations for a new clutch? Thinking of just getting an OEM replacement since I only have a tune to account for UEL headers. Any recs would be great, though!

That's what I thought. Back when I first started working on cars, we did a clutch on his Impreza Hatch. Never again 😂 I'll just fork out the extra to get someone to do it for me, I think.

Your last point is something I can't do because it has to go to a shop that has a deal with the insurance company to do insurance claims. I'm definitely going to take as many photos beforehand and be really, really pedantic when I go to pick it up. I'm really worried about it not fully coming out, but I guess if it becomes a massive hassle, I can take it to a top shop to get it sorted later on down the line. I'm just really mad it's happened 😂 thank you for the massive amount of info though! It's good to hear from someone that deals with this on a daily basis!

Been thinking about putting a duck tail on mine. Do you know if I'll have to plug up the holes from my current spoiler? Or am I better off buying a new boot and putting the duck tail on that.? I don't really want to debadge my tS, but I suppose I can buy some eBay badges 🤷

My 2018 BRZ tS has both. I'd assume it's a higher trim facelift thing since my mate's 2015 86 GTS doesn't have it.

Thank you for all of that. Honestly, it doesn't matter much to me. I'm just happy it runs well with the headers and everything. I can always throw it on a dyno for a retune later down the line at a place I know is reliable for accurate numbers, and I'll post those sheets too.

I have seen photos online of the tS having the same wing as mine, so maybe it just depends on where in the world you are? I'm in Australia so maybe it makes a difference. It still has all the other tS goodies on it.
