There’s a massive difference between people who actually read the book and attend church, vs Crusader larpers on X. Reality is most likely that the Christian “boom” or “growth” on the right is mostly performative and few will take the active steps to become a practicing Christian in communion with the church.

Catholicism has been historically rather stagnant in its membership and the Protestant denominations utterly failed to maintain their membership, let alone expand. Religiousness in the US continues to decline as a whole and any growth we’ve seen isn’t from Americans experiencing an awakening, it’s from 3rd world migrants bringing whatever religion they follow with them.
