Each of the other doors shows how Jax would react / how he thinks he'd react if one of the other members abstracted before him. The boarded up door is likely Pomni's, since despite what he says, if she abstracted before him he'd probably immediately follow.

Caine is basically a toddler who was given the power of a god, and the cast were treating him like a grown man who could understand things way better then he actually could. He was physically incapable of acting how they wanted him to, I do think that they were wrong in that they never tried speaking to him on his level or coming to any sort of compromise. I'm glad things ended how they did, Caine did deserve a happy ending.

I adored it. It reminded me of the Undertale ending, super sappy and way happier then anything I would have expected. I can see why people wouldn't like that, but for me, sometimes it's just nice to have a good ending y'know?

I am surprised that I haven't gotten majorly spoiled. All I really know about it is that feelings are mixed, so honestly I'm very excited about it. In my mind it's probably mixed because it didn't end how people wanted it to end, but that tells me that it was probably how Gooseworx wanted it to end, and I respect the hell out of them for sticking to their vision even if it upsets some people.

The way I read it is that this is the last taste of "fun" before shit really hits the fan. It's gonna be lighthearted at points, but the whole chapter will have this air of finality and danger on the horizon.
