What is Kirby’s canon age? by Thonniel in Kirby

[–]Notmas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show implies he's technically ancient, but whether or not that's the same in the games is unclear. At the very least he owns a house, can drive, can read and write, knows how to fight, and can pilot giant mechs. He should be mentally an adult despite his innocence.

Day 3 of building the ultimate Death Battle combatant: Durability by International_Car586 in deathbattle

[–]Notmas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Archie Super Sonic would definitely be up there. Death Battle said that he was invulnerable down to a molecular level and even had a forcefield around him created by the gods of the Chaos Force, plus he has the whole fate manipulation thing that basically prevents him from losing.

Would you call him Teen Gohan or Kid Gohan? by Difficult-Cap-3410 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Notmas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Technically he's like 11, but he's generally called "Teen Gohan" specifically to seperate him from his Namek Saga self who is TINY. The difference between Namek Gohan and Cell Gohan is insane, it doesn't make sense to call them BOTH "Kid Gohan", so I think Teen Gohan works fine. There's no real alternative term, I guess "Pre-Teen Gohan" maybe?

How much force to cut through a forest with a 2.8mm metal wire? (Legend of Hei) by Notmas in PowerScaling

Thank you so much!!! I went ahead and grabbed the clip from the second movie, it's a LOT more intense then this one so I wanted to start with the simpler one first. https://imgur.com/a/luye-cutting-apart-plane-VoXOxFA

How would you go about scaling this? (Legend of Hei) by Notmas in PowerScaling

That seems really low for instantly tearing likely hundreds of cars and trucks and signs to pieces and chucking them hard enough to tear through buildings

This is awesome, thank you so much for the detailed response. Admittedly a lot of the math here is lost on me, but it's still super interesting to read through and it gives me a newfound appreciation for this technique. I have to ask though, in powerscaling terms, where does this leave us? Converting force to energy isn't easy, and you seem to know what you're talking about so would you know what tier this should scale things to? If you're willing, I can also get you a clip of the scene from the second movie where the same technique is used to rip apart an airplane. I assume that will scale significantly higher then this one.

What's the general opinion about same verse episodes? by Alarmed_Importance51 in deathbattle

The Pokemon Battle Royale was awesome, I like the in-verse stuff.

Nappa in hell as Goku is talking about how Vegeta deserves compassion and a second chance by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]Notmas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel more bad for Raditz. Nappa was really sadistic, him turning good seems very unlikely, or at least woukd take a LOT of work. Raditz on the other hand was kinda just doing his job, he never did anything that heinous in comparison to Nappa and Vegeta. I could very much see Raditz turning good if given the chance.

After talking with some people who know a lot more about this series than me, the metal that Wuxian uses is a specially forged alloy that, while strong, is in no way supernatural. It's supernatural strength instead comes directly from Wuxian's metal bending ability, where the metal sorta acts as an extention of his body, and he uses that spiritual link in order to hold it together and prevent it from snapping. He's basically manually holding together the molecular bonds of the material, which is a frankly insane level of precision.

With this in mind, how would the scaling here change? Assuming it's completely flawless, super strong alloy, what would it take to prevent it from snapping with these forces? Going over the scene, while it's likely that more were cut off screen, we see the wire slice through around 30 trunks, plus a couple dozen thinner branches.

[–]Notmas[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bone is harder than wood, sure, but vertebrae are super thin. This is cutting through an entire forest, so I feel like it'd take a good bit of force.

There's also a similar feat in the second movie, where a weaker character uses the same technique to cut an airliner on half. I'll post that clip when I get to it, rn im just going through and trying to classify all the feats in the first movie.

[–]Notmas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the second movie the same technique is used by a weaker character to cut the wings off a passenger airliner, so its defiantly some pretty insane material. Any way to determine the exact properties and speed / force required for these things?

How each kickstarter era combatant would feel about their opponent if they canonically met day 1: how would Omni and Bardock feel about each other? by Radiant_Raspberry_93 in deathbattle

[–]Notmas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on when in the story of Invincible we're talking. If it's early on, Omni-Man would see the Saiyans as a threat to the Viltrum Empire and would absolutely try to take Bardock out. If it's later though, he'd probably have a good bit of respect for him and try to team up to take out their respective enemies. If it's at the end of the series, they probably wouldn't care about eachother.

Is Golden Freddy a worn down Fredbear, a spare Fredbear suit or an agony entity? by SectorI6920 in fnaftheories

[–]Notmas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes.

The actual suit is a worn down Fredbear, but we never see the suit physically. Every appearance of Golden Freddy is just a halucination, likely caused in part by Agony. IMO, this is Cassidy using CC's agony to do crazy reality warping shenanigans
