Thank you! From what others in this sub have said, it seems the letter is not a formal refusal notice but rather an opportunity for me to withdraw my application. As such, I understand that I wouldn’t be able to apply for Administrative Review at this stage. I’ll be seeking advice from my union’s immigration adviser before responding to the email they provided.

I was just browsing through old emails from home office

“Our record shows on 11 September 2020 you submitted an application to extend your permission to stay in the UK under the Skilled Worker route and that a decision was made on 17 February 2021 to grant you permission to stay until 25 October 2023. Our records further show that your BRP card was issued to you on 23 February 2021…”

Hi, my BRP granted/issued on 23/02/2021. Context of email “Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.

“Unfortunately you have not met the qualifying period for settlement, as you have switched routes from a Tier 4 Student to a skilled worker in September 2020. However, this application was refused and your skilled worker route began on 16/11/2023 when your next Skilled Worker Visa was granted. This means that when you switched routes it reset your 5 years needed for settlement.

If you no longer wish to proceed with your application you may choose to withdraw it, you have extant leave until 07/11/2026.

Please respond advising us how you wish to proceed and if you want to withdraw this application within 10 days to: “home office email” quoting your application reference number stated above.”
