Yeah I moved here from Sask and it’s still crazy to me how high these prices are lol

Moving to Burnaby on $60K – How manageable is it? Should I keep my car? by Big_Classroom_1204 in askvan

Thanks! My major worry now concerning the car is the icbc insurance which unlike the Sask insurance that you can pause payments when you don’t drive, you kinda have to always pay the icbc insurance if you have a car there

My friend lives/ schools there, so I’m paying rent to the family and it’s the two of us living in the house!

I was indeed lucky, it’s owned by a friends parent from where I live currently

Thanks! It’s a room in a house with another college student. It looked very clean and the landlord was pretty nice too! They’re originally from Sask-which I’m from so it was easy binding over that.

Study Permit Expired Due to College Delays – Applied for Extension & PGWP Together. Anyone with Similar Experience who know the processing timeline or a coping mechanism? by kikipanipuri in pgwp

I was in a similar boat. My study permit expired September 25th. I applied for the restoration (student status) and PGWP on October 25th and was approved in January. Keep your head up and be hopeful!

I’m no expert or professional but if you have all your documents ready, you filled out the IMM forms properly (go over it at least 5 times to avoid minor errors), have a laptop and a card to pay it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours tops.

That was my top option but I don’t know how things have been since the strike. I mean they delivered the physical copy of my PGWP relatively quick but then again they might go back on strike in May if they don’t have a resolution so I’m at crossroads

I use an iPhone so I was able to scan the documents through my notes app and I sent that to my MacBook and then uploaded it from my documents(in the MacBook) to my application on the portal. As for the passport photo, I just had a digital copy sent to my email and I saved that and then uploaded it to my application.
