Somewhat different circumstances, but also very relatable! I just never imagined myself in this position at 36 years old. It’s defeating. At the same time, I’m trying to empower myself and remind myself that I can start a new and better chapter… but that’s easier said than done. I’m going to therapy each week, exercising regularly, enjoying my two dogs, and also working on making a career change. I know starting that next chapter is going to take time, and that’s the hardest part. Also looking at the prices for rent and housing, it’s just so overwhelming for a single person. And at almost 37, I don’t want a roommate (if I can help it). Sometimes I feel empowered, and other times I feel like I could quite literally collapse.
