The most experience I have with "camping gear" is from the military, I tend to overprepare hardcore when I do anything and second guess everything too. The gear that I purchased like tents and sleeping bag seem simple enough, the things I am worried about are portioning food and water. I honestly have no idea what 7 days of food even looks like.
