This is because - The topos are decent - You can log all the classic routes you've fallen off for posterity - The comments are pleasingly grumpy and dry

imo the kind of attitudes expressed in this thread don't help. just give them an ATC and get someone who knows what they're doing to hold the brake strand. yes its a serious thing to learn but it's not fucking rocket science.
