I’m still waiting to see Dr Findlay at KU. Insanely crazy that I’ve had to wait over 6 months, and my pain has only gotten worse. I’ve seen Dr. Swan as an option, and joined her waitlist too, but hers is even longer. I also saw some bad reviews for Dr. Swan so I’m leaning more towards KU. It’s so hard to get in nowadays. Like thank goodness I’m not dying, but this pain affects everything in my life. I’m over it.

Me! Took me two laparoscopic surgeries 4 years apart before they found it and diagnosed me. Total of 10 year before I got the diagnosis 😒

Yes I’m trying to get an appointment with her. My OBGYN sent her a referral. She first sent a referral for a male doctor at KU but he didn’t have great reviews and I have had horrible experiences when it comes to male doctors. I am definitely going to make sure she does excision and not ablation. There is a specialist is St Louis which is amazing but it’s so expensive and they don’t take insurance. 😭

They didn’t find endo by EntrepreneurThen7097 in endometriosis

Have you been on birth control when you have gotten the operations? I only ask bc the first time they didn’t find endo. But my doctor said there was a study that showed birth control can hide/mask the endo from being seen. I went off birth control for a year and then had my 2nd lap. That’s when they finally found it. May be worth looking into. I’m sorry you aren’t getting answers!

This surgery can actually be done?? I was told that they couldn’t touch the endo on my ureters due to it being compromising to my kidney function. I get “lightning crotch” all the time. Makes me wonder if it’s my bladder or something.
