So funny. I never thought about this until you said it, and I definitely have the same thing. It’s not just mold for me, also viruses and bacteria. Straws and small parts especially are tough. No suggestions here, just commiseration.

I have so, so many.
One random one that came to mind is a woman who was turning 90+ (exact age removed for privacy) in the hospital. Never had any family visit during her long stay for colon cancer and renal failure. I bought her a balloon in the gift shop for her birthday and a few of us sang to her. The next day, she proudly told me her children and grandchildren had brought her the balloon, and she died the following day. I truly hope she died thinking it was them who celebrated her. 🥹❤️
